The Hawks finally got Zach Charbonnet some work today at the expensive of Walker. Who knows if it was just some touch management due to Walker's missed practices this week but only 9 touches for him today while Charbs got 7 and looked like he was in there for most 3rd downs.

Yeap, both of these guys are a different style of very good RBs and it's not unusal for rookie RBs to be eased into the offense.

I do think there is going to be be a bit of a hot hand approach to those two with Walker being the preferred back.. but for anyone that thought Walker was head and shoulders the better RB talent, you may be right, but I'm certainly not comfortable projecting that based on what we've seen out of Charb when he's been given opportunities.

I mean, Charbs is good, never denied that. The OL was a huge reason for his 2 big runs in the 2nd half, and Walker, would have done better with that convoy, due to his explosiveness, just saying. There's plays Charbs gets 20 that Walker would have housed, or gone for 40. They are different backs, though, as you say. Charbs is a good player, and he'll absolutely have a bigger role than he did the first half of the season, IMO. However, he's still the RB2, and always will be, when the 2 are fully healthy.

I think with the way Geno played today, it was good to have 2 backs, who both didn't touch the ball all that much by the late 2nd half, because his throws were off target a lot, and a good run game really helped to create some good PA passing with better separation. Honestly, I was surprised how the Seattle OL did, in the run game today, vs a very good Browns D. Didn't see the start of the game, just getting caught up, but on the 2 Charbonnet runs that he had chunk yardage in the 2nd half, the OL was winning big time. I saw both Charbs and K Walker had a big YPC in the first half too, so assuming the OL was doing fairly well there.

If the OL can do a better job, like today, in the run game, it bodes well for all parties involved, moving forward. Charbs may be flex worthy if they can be consistent. It's tough to have a RB that's talented, but not as talented as a lead back, unless the OL play is really good, for the run game. Having 2 RB's be FF start worthy can happen if the OL is balling, and both RB"s are gaining chunk yardage, OR if one is a big time pass catcher and the other is a big time runner, but the Hawks don't throw to the RB enough, so we are looking for option 1. The OL can block well enought that both backs can have more efficient touches.

Walker I predicted for 280 plus touches, but his work load was heavy, the first half. With a calf, and the wear and tear of the season, I'd expect him to be scaled back a bit. He had 26 carries the week before, load management is real, for any RB, in a 17 game season. Charbs is fresher, for sure, and I expect Carroll to increase his workload the 2nd half.

Some extra context into Charbonnet's playing time.

Pete isn't the most trustworthy source when it comes to injuries but this in combination with how Walker looked on Sunday it seems likely that Charbonnet's playing time was not related to the Walker injury and we could see a "hot hand approach" to these guys going forward.

Time will tell.

I’m in 8 dynasty leagues right now. 3 of my 4 newest leagues are superflex TE premium ball dynasty leagues. One of them was actually a very stale league that we rebooted and re-drafted. I find these to be just as much fun if not more fun than lineup submission leagues. And for sure I’ve hit saturation point on the amount of leagues that I want to do waivers and lineups for.

Best balls are fun. I did one that was a BB auction it was wild.

I'm in one bestball league and I hate it. I think it's probably more of a specific league settings issue. Waivers only run once every four weeks or something. So that coupled with the fact that I don't need to visit my team to set a weekly lineup, makes it easy for me to neglect that team, and my roster reflects that.

I'm collectively 28-4 across my 4 dynasty leagues which are all 'managed' 12tm/PPR/SF leagues. But then my bestball team is 8-8 (weekly league median matchup), and still features Corey Davis, Carson Wentz, and Drew Lock. Idk I like it in theory, but it lends itself to being put on the backburner. Maybe I'll have to try one that requires more active management (regular waiver settings, etc.)

In my best ball leagues, we have a draft in May and another draft in august. After that, no players can be acquired except through trades. Trading is very active. We do total points and have good payouts for top weekly score. It’s fun because you’re competing against 11 others each week for the $$$. And almost every player is in play somewhere. My best ball leagues have very active group text chats. More active than any of my lineup submission leagues. Also the good thing is that the owners were cherry picked from my regular dynasty leagues, we tapped into those who didn’t want the burden of running another team but enjoys drafting, trading, and chatting

Very encouraged by some of the bolded players, even if the opportunity is due to injury. I also separated some of the players based on usage and getting rid of the wall of text this is becoming. Those top 6 WR are key pieces to their offenses, the next 4 being more tertiary pieces and the last grouping of some hopefuls who are/could get a shot rest of season.

I went into last night expecting my best team to lose a 2nd straight close matchup, as I was up by 3.5 and he had Adams left to play. Last week I just needed a few more points from Aiyuk, but he disappeared in the 2nd half after a hot start

Lost by 2 points last week, won by 1 point this week.

Maybe I need to explore more bestball leagues. This bleep is stressful lol

Fantasy is crazy like that. I had a 6 point lead with nobody left going into last night against my opponent's Adams/Meyers combo and somehow pulled it out. Still shocked.

I pulled a crazy one that I had no business winning yesterday too - down by 10 points, vs. Goff and Davante Adams.

I had Gibbs.

Won by 0.5 points on that final red zone drive of the game - would have lost if Craig Reynolds scored, but it's called back for holding and Gibbs gets one more carry to put me over.

I apologised to the other owner for the disgusting win.

An apology is probably the best way to go about it. I just said nothing, because I was gonna say some variation of "good game" to my opponent, but I know when those 1-point losses happen to me because of an unforeseen under-performance, a 'good game' would just feel condescending and piss me off lol
