Bill Belichick the GM has absolutely sold him up the river.

Imagine being so bad at evaluating WR's that you can't even tell that Jakobi Meyers is worth keeping - and thinking that you can replace him with the dead husk of Juju Smith-Schuster for basically the same money.

Congrats to Raider nation on the big grudge-match win today. Great game.
Crosby wanted to make up for that bad penalty, and he did.

Jets D is legit. They are giving the Eagles everything they can handle with Wilson at QB. Makes you wonder with Rodgers, what this year would have looked like.

Brady covered up for so many of the misses Belichick had as a GM. Without him, we see all those misses piled onto a team that hasn't been able to figure out offense in four years.

Patriots need to move on from Belichick the GM, and possibly the coach if he doesn't want to do that.

Hurts looked bad with the Jets starting corners out. Really bad decisions today, and that last INT was Winston level bad. Well done, Jets.

just getting caught up on the earlier games. Bengals are starting to hit their stride. That Defensive front overmatched the Seahawks OL in the run game, and the pass game, especially at key times. If Burrow gets back to 100 percent, look out. That division could have 3 teams geet to the playoffs, the Browns D is legit, and the Ravens could get in to. It's going to be tough, because they all play each other so much, but that North, is a tough division.

Rodgers coming back this season is seeming possible with him walking around and throwing without crutches or a boot.

I think they will hit their stride but this...was not that

Geno did everything to lose this game and still almost won

Looks like the Aidan O'Connell era is on hold, too.

I guess Coach saw enough of that tv show against the Chargers last time. Hoyer's in.
AOC is the emergency QB. He can't play unless Hoyer was also injured. If Jimmy misses the next game, it's almost certain AOC would start.

Really good conversation with Chad Graff on this on the last Athletic Beat Writers podcast.

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/k ... 0630806164

The point was made - if you try to fire Bill Belichick the GM, but retain him as Coach - the question then becomes, which GM could you conceivably hire that would actually have the clout to come in and overrule BB on personnel decisions? (Because you *know* that would happen come next Draft, without a doubt - you'd need someone who could theoretically stand up to him - or else, what's the point?)

Graff pointed out that the next guy in line in Foxboro - Director of Player Personnel, Matt Groh, 42 years old - is the Son of Belichick's longtime friend and multiple-times assistant coach Al Groh.

So it's probably not him. So, then you're going external - and passing over your in-house promotions as a result. That -also- won't be popular in the building.

You add it all up - this thing is steaming towards a full house-clean as it's most likely conclusion.

Who'd have ever thunk that a scant few months ago.

Me too.
On two teams with Hall, I had runaway wins already in hand.
On another team, I'm in a dead heat (down a few points), the other guy has Hall, and that TD is going to force Lamb to have to go off for me to win.

I don’t see the logic behind this. If they viewed him as the current backup, he’d have been the #2 and not emergency QB wouldn’t he? If he’s viewed as the starter if Jimmy is out, I don’t see the point in labeling him emergency QB so he can’t play.

It's what happens to most QB's under pressure. They make bad decisions.
