ARSB+LaPorta or Chase?

10 team superflex ppr and TEP. Standard scoring everywhere else and standard starting requirements. I am rebuilding and another owner reached out to see if I was interested in Chase. Obviously I am if the price is right.

So I get an offer:
I send Amon Ra and LaPorta
For his Chase.

My initial reaction was to decline (which I did). I have ARSB in the 2nd tier of WRs (JJ and Chase in first tier, and guys like Lamb/Amon Ra/Garrett/Olave/AJB/a couple others in 2nd tier). So I’m certainly fine giving up something extra to Amon Ra to get Chase. But I’m having a hard time giving up LaPorta. I countered with Amon Ra+Pitts but haven’t gotten an answer yet.

Was I too hasty in declining? Am I drinking the LaPorta koolaid (I am very high on him).

Thoughts on this trade that I didn’t make.

That’s the same TEP I play in then. It’s a huge premium and can make TE very valuable. I think this is pretty fair. I would hesitate if I was on either side of this trade.

I'm taking the package. 2 PPR for Laporta, who is a lot of people's TE1 in Dynasty right now, pushes this over the top. ARSB is a legit top 10 WR, and Chase tied to Burrow is awesome, and he's elite, but I like the package here.

Well said. It's possible (not saying probably/likely) that LaPorta's value is as high as it will ever be.

Agreed…for this to make sense, LaPorta needs to be a yearly top 3 TE

Yeah, I have 2 leagues in that format and TEs are crazy valuable. If Laporta is actually legit, his value will be the same as Chases. It sounds bonkers but if you play in that format you understand.

That’s not Laporta Koolaid. That’s the 16 year single malt.

Like others have said if he falls off you lose the deal but you have to pay for guys that could be game changers. He could be one in that format.

And ARSB is always undervalued. Reminds me of guys like Keenan.
