What to do with D'Swift & M. Pittman

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What to do with D'Swift & M. Pittman

Postby Horn1 » Wed Aug 23, 2023 6:05 pm

Team in Profile Sig below.

What to do with D'Andre Swift & Michael Pittman? I'm not really high on either and I know I'll eventually have to drop someone from my offensive roster during IDP Bye weeks.

Options:
1) Trade only Pittman for K. Gainwell and wait to see how the Eagles use Swift & Gainwell? This still leaves me with a +1 roster & someone on offense will eventually have to get cut during my bye weeks so I can sub an IDP Player in.

2) Trade (dump) both Swift & Pittman for a RB like Brian Robinson?

3) Trade (dump) Swift & Pittman plus a future high round pick for a better RB like Jacobs (unlikely to happen.

4) Just stand pat & worry about Bye weeks later.

So really just option 1, 2, 4

1. The Gainwell trade is really bad, easily hold Pittman.

2. Still not great at all.

3. Depends on the add and make sure Jacobs is back on the field. Could easily be worth it, but lots of factors that need to play out.

I think you are trying to force a deal. Take a step back...it's not even week 1 yet. Pittman and Swift could both be beasts this year...we don't know yet. Either way, don't force deals. It can really set your team back.

I'm offended for Pittman. That's a horrible trade. Remember, Pittman hasn't done anything wrong. Everyone is just assuming he will plummet due to the QB situation. Preseason "experts" are wrong a lot.

I would rather have Swift and Pittman each individually over Robinson. Again, sounds ike you're buying into a lot of preseason squawk.

Bye weeks and dynasty do not mix.

If your at all on the fence, which it sounds like you are… I’m taking BRob… the offer you have there is too much so lower it down some and then jump!!
PW league - 10 tm Dynasty league-Roster/Keep 28 - Pass:1/20 3pt TD; Run/Rec:1/10 6pt TD; no ppr; no neg pts
st:1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te, 1 k, 1 d, no flex

WR - Addison, Godwin, Nico, Gabe, Zay Jones, Mooney, Hyatt, Tillman
TE - Kincaid, Kraft
PK -Tucker
Def - 49ers
Picks: 2024 - 1-7, add’l 3rd; 2025 - 1-7

E league - 14 team-can keep up to 9 but keeper round moves up 1 each year, no 1st or 2nd round players can be kept; number is parens = next year’s keeper round; * = player was kept for 2023
Pass 1/20, 4pt TD, Run/Rec 1/10, 6pt TD, 1ppr, Fum/Int = -1, other scoring is pretty regular
QB - Jimmy G(*16), Purdy(*9), Stafford(12)

WR - JJeff(3), Adams(*4), Godwin(*8), MWill(*5), OBJ(*13), Woods, Hyatt(10), Tillman(18)

Hold both and see how the Philly backfield and Richardson’s development unfold. Only sell at close to full value. As far needing IDP bye week replacements, you are more than likely going to have a few guys land on IR freeing up roster spots. No need to worry about that until at least week 5.

He kind of plummeted last year and his outlook got worse. I am a Colts fan. Pittman is pretty replaceable to me.

I'd hold both based on those offers. Both are at low value, let the season play out and hope wither or both of them bounce back.
