Post rookie draft decisions

Postby Drewski » Mon Aug 14, 2023 5:13 pm

Just had my rookie draft last night. 10 team SF PPR. I am three players over the max but have three taxi slots. What would you look to do to keep developing this roster?

QB: Kyler, Lawrence, Stroud, Young, Pickett
RB: Gibbs, M. Sanders. Jamal Williams, S. Perine, M. Carter, Kendre Miller, K. Gainwell. Z. Evans
WR: Burks, Hollywood, Jeudy, D. Smith, T McLaurin, OBJ, E. Moore, Toney, R. Woods, J. Downs
TE: Friermuth, Kincaid, I Smith, I. Likely

One manger who only has Deshaun Watson currently has asked about my QBs but he doesn’t have pieces that interest me.

You don’t look like a contender in a 10-team league. I’d be looking to sell off some vet pieces like Miles Sanders, McLaurin and OBJ. Team is really young and will just require patience.
14 TM / Devy / SuperFlex / TEP
1 Q / 2 RB / 2 WR / 1 TE / 1 SF / 3 F / 1 DT / 2 DE / 3 LB / 2 CB / 2 S / 1 F

QB: Jordan Love, Trevor Lawrence
RB: Zamir White, James Conner, Trey Benson, Jaylen Warren, Will Shipley
WR: Michael Pittman, Puka Nacua, Drake London, Christian Kirk, Josh Palmer
TE: Trey McBride, Jake Ferguson, Noah Gray
PK: Justin Tucker, Jason Myers
DT: Grover Stewart, Devonte Wyatt
DE: Alex Highsmith, Jonathan Cooper, Gregory Rousseau, Matt Judon, Baron Browning
LB: Fred Warner, Dre Greenlaw, Ernest Jones, Alex Anzalone, Jack Campbell
CB: L'Jarius Sneed, Deommodore Lenoir, Taron Johnson
S: Derwin James, Talanoa Hufanga, Kareem Jackson
DEVY: RB Nick Singleton PSU
2024 DEVY DEPLETED PICKS: 1.11, 1.13, 2.03, 2.05, 2.13, 3.01, 3.07, 3.10, 3.12, 4.03, 4.11, 4.15, 5.01, 5.02

I agree here. If you are looking more long term, shop your vets, keeping building and hold your youth. Move your vets at the right time, so probably in season when they are hopefully putting up numbers. Moving risky assets for top value is always a big future looking move. Sanders on hype if he hits early is a great player maximize value.

Wayyyyy too many QBs. If your league overvalues QBs as much as you do I'd move two of them asap.

You can also sell all rbs not named Gibbs and miller.

You also are in desperate need of consolidating value. 10 teamers you need studs not depth.

10 team devalues SF a bit but I’d add that in a rebuild holding qbs is a good way to reduce points in play while getting some good deals during season. I don’t really hate holding a bunch of a qbs in a rebuild to sell in season. Almost like holding draft picks at draft time.

This ^^. I picked B2B QBs in young and stroud. The guy who had the next pick only has Deshaun Watson. He hit me up immediately after the draft saying he wants a QB. Unfortunately, pieces on his team do not interest me and I don’t want to force a deal. He has guys like JT, Addison, Pittman, Akers. Moving one is the plan but at the right price

Would Charbonnet, Addison and a First be a bad offer for one of the rookie QBs?

I was just offered Barkley and a First for Kyler and Pickett. I really don’t want to give up two QBs in one deal. Thoughts?

Another offer on table I’m intrigued by. Addison and 2024 first for Stroud

Only reason I’m hesitant to take this is because I’d have so many WR and still have holes at RB

yup snap accept here. As I said, as long as the rest of the league is over valuing qbs too just sell em.
