Anderson at 2.04?

I'm 99.99% I'm grabbing Will Anderson with this pick but throwing out the question anyway.
Team 3, 12 team

Will Anderson in our formant, big bonuses for sack/yards lost, is projected to be the #26 overall (OFF and DEF) points scored player in our league and the #4 DT/DE.

I already own the projected DT/DL #s 2, 5, 10 but we can start 4 DL/DT in this league (11 OFF 11 DEF) slots and this seems a no brainer pick.

Currently I've been offered for the pick

Give: 2.04 and Dalvin Cook
Get: 24 first and 4.04

In any other of my leagues where DEF scoring isn't so balanced, I'd be all over this offer, but here it seems foolish.

Is this a 12 team league? I'm looking at Anderson at pick 16 in one of my leagues, and we don't have the scoring you do, or as many starters, so I think that is a decent spot for him.
As for the trade, I think I'd hang onto Cook a little longer at this price - I don't think he's done yet and could still fetch you a top '24 pick in season if you want to move him.

Team 3, 12 team, haven't updated since MFL moved a bunch of LBs to DL.
I've Landry, Reddick, Hutchinson, and Travon Walker among others at DL, the only reason I didn't pick Anderson right away. His points projection just to high to grab the RBBCs (Charbonnet, Achane, Miller) and Mingo that have gone since.

I did trade Cook later to the owner offering the first for 2.10 and his (probably mid-early) 24 2nd which I felt was solid if not stellar value.

i wouldn't give a single thought to point projections. especially at this time of the year. and points really don't mean much anyway, value over replacement and all that.
i think the texans got hosed with that trade: anderson is good, but not that good. i don't see him getting in the DE top tier (garrett, watt, bosa etc...), so i wouldn't spend an early 2nd on him.

i'd have 2.04 and cook over a '24 1st, bu i'd have the 1st over anderson and 2.10 (EDIT: i missed the early-mid '24 2nd, i like that, but i'd just try to flip anderson now). but you know your league better than i do.

I took Anderson at 2.03 in a 14 team IDP league and immediately got 2 offers for him from guys picking just behind me. He’s pretty clearly a coveted asset. Glad I pulled the trigger when I did.

Hoping you move one of the several DLs once season starts. FWIW, 8 of top 32 points scored and 31 of top 64 were defense players. The league values sacks, a lot, and a few guys capable of sacks really boosts chance to win. My team had most points scored last year with JT doing squat.

Yeah, 2.04 is a very solid spot for Anderson.
I got Anderson at 2.06 in my 12 team SF TEP IDP, start 11 offense/11 IDP, IDP123 scoring.

Now have my 3 DL as Chase Young, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Will Anderson Jr.

I'm excited about that future.

I just took him with the 2.04 i(20th) in a 16 team league where we start 9 offense and 11IDP contract league. Not sure how I feel about it. I reached for Chase Young 3 years ago and DE has been one of my weaker positions.
