I like Pierce but I think I’d still do take Godwin for sure. I could see holding if you need an RB but I see Singletary hurting Pierce more than most think and if the Texans see a glimpse out of Stroud then they will invest heavier in a higher drafted guy soon enough.

I prefer Godwin overall. He is a really solid WR whereas Pierce needs to make a jump to hold his value and he was a volume driven producer which is a gamble. Godwin on value.

Without seeing the entire roster dynamic and starting requirements this is tough. Pierce is slightly more value on paper but this becomes a trade of preference based on roster needs unknown to us at this time.

While I was hesitating and going back and forth on this, he got impatient and resent the offer with a 3rd added. Small addition, but it was just enough to tip the scales for me. I’m a pretty strong contender, and have a good stable of RBs besides Pierce so I think it works out. Final deal was:

Give: Dameon Pierce
Get: Chris Godwin and 24 3rd

I like Pierce a lot and feel that it was a good deal even before he added the 3rd.
