Who replaces him in Tampa? They have to go for a known vet that can come in with that win now roster. Jimmy G? Carr?
What if.. he knew the divorce was imminent and came back intentionally to defer his upcoming 375M TV deal. He gets through the divorce in season and now doesn't have to share the pie.
Gisele is worth more than Brady. Quick Google has her at $400 Million to his $250 Million.
Although I don’t know the details, report was they had an “ironclad prenup”. I don’t think that played into it.

Lol. Nothing expresses until death do us part like the ol’ “ironclad prenup”

Despite being a UofM fan, I was never a huge Brady fan thru the years. I was always a Manning>Brady guy. Then I just gave up being a hater when he pulled off going to Tampa and winning one. He officially became the goat imo when he treated the NFL like it was the NBA where the players dictate everything…and it worked.

Agreed. With two people as wealthy as those two, a pre-nup was definitely a part of the marriage.

I detest the Patriots, despise Bill, and revile Kraft. I've gotten to the point where I can tolerate Brady, but I pull against his team(s) about 99.9% of the time. He was definitely a great QB, but I'm not sad at all to see him retire.

Is he droppable at this point? 14 team 2QB league…and every time I go to drop him, I read some blurb about why to keep him.

On the sleeper app, he is both one of the top “trending up” and “trending down” in percent owned. How can this be?

I would like the open roster spot, but I’m sure he will be picked up immediately if I drop him. He has zero trade value, so nothing on that front. Would definitely bolster my QB depth IF he plays. Weird spot to be in. Do I just cut bait? Or wait it out?

You’re awfully optimistic. I wouldn’t underestimate McDaniels.

Why not just wait a few weeks/months? Is there any reason you have to drop him now? In one league, I'm dropping five guys as the WW is opening up in a week. In another league, we don't have to get our rosters down until the week before the season, so I'm holding all of my guys until the WW opens to see what camps, off-season, and pre-season do.
D3:
QB—Allen, Pickett RB—Kamara, Jacobs, ZWhite, Edwards, Ford, Warren WR—Lamb, Olave, DJM, Puka, Tillman, Marshall, Jefferson, Robinson, Tucker TE—Ferguson, Schoon, Likely, Smith, Washington, Kraft PK—Prater DEF—BAL

D4:
QB—TLaw, JimmyG, Tannehill, AOC, Hall RB—Bijan, Kamara, Conner, BENSON (R), Gainwell, Gainwell, Foreman, ZMoss, Chandler, McLaughlin WR—Jefferson, Hill, Adams, Allen, POLK (R), CORLEY (R), COWING (R), Tillman, Woods TE—Kelce, Kmet, TJOHNSON (R), Conklin PK—Butker DEF—PIT

Superflex 1:
QB—Mahomes, Rodgers, Mayfield, RATTLER (R) RB—Bijan, Kamara, Allgeier, Mostert, BRob, ESTIME (R) WR—Chase, DJM, Devonta, MBrown, Lockett, Myers, COWING (R), MWASHINGTON (R) TE—Kmet, Kraft, SANDERS (R), Conklin, Hurst PK—Elliott DEF—PHI

Superflex 2:
QB: MAYE (R), Goff, Cousins, PENIX (R), Wentz, White; RB: Bijan, BRob, ZWhite, Allgeier, McLaughlin WR: HARRISON (R), DJM, Higgins, JSN, BTHOMAS (R), Downs, RMoore, Atwell, SMoore, DPJ, Devante TE: Ferguson, Kraft, Trautman, Tremble

No reason to make a decision now. Just looking at waiver stashes and whatnot, and planning moves. I just wasn’t sure if I was alone in being overly optimistic with Brady maybe returning. Or if there was some groupthink that maybe he isn’t done. Hate to burn a roster spot on Brady if I was on an island with my thought that he may come back.

I hear you. I'm holding Zeke still. When does your WW open? I'd hold until at LEAST then. If you have the QB depth, I'd just drop him.

Zeke hasn't openly retired. Likely waiting for a scenario where he can get a better 1 year deal. He's definitely still an NFL caliber RB. Brady has retired, and I don't think has any intention of returning. No sense in dropping any player, unless you need to, though.

Stop. Every team owner would have to approve Brady playing for a team he is part owner of. This will not happen.
