This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Team Direction

Postby Z$$$ » Fri May 12, 2023 8:03 am

12 Team, 1QB, IDP
QB, 2RB, 2WR, Flex, IDPs

QB: Rodgers, Fields, Love
RB: Sanders, Dillon, Gibson/Robinson, Achane
WR: Jefferson, Lamb, Metcalf, G Wilson, Burks, JSN
TE: Goedert, Gesick, Musgraves

Finished last season dead in the middle of the pack. I’m willing to move Metcalf to garner an update at RB. As with most leagues, this one values RBs high. I’m willing to trade for an aging RB to help with the next year or two.

What RB should I shoot for with offering Metcalf? A WR needy team has Pollard on his bench. Is there something you’d add to Pollard to get rid of Metcalf? Or do I need to reach higher with someone like Chubb or Eckeler?

Thanks!
12 Team 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1Flex, 5IDP

Najee, Gibbs, Etienne are maybe in that DK price range.

I'd explore what you could get for your least favorite out of Lamb or Wilson. Until you get that needed RB upgrade, your team may hang in the middle still. Team is really good but needs one or two more alphas. Your WRs are phenomenal but you can only start 3 so I'd be willing to explore moves with any one of them.

You could also cheap out and look to move JSN for someone decent maybe like Rhamondre, Javonte or Dobbins. That might allow you to keep this WR group intact.

It's tough to break up your WR group, but you have the options to move for a serious RB or two and round out your build. To maximize options and gauge value from options, I would make all your WRs available and see moving who gives you the best return and what the best options are overall. It never hurts to shop.

12 Team, 1QB, IDP
QB, 2RB, 2WR, Flex, IDPs

I'm not an IDP guy, but it looks like you have that part down given what you posted for your roster. Does look like shallow starters for offense and no TE required? This format is going to stress studs on offense.

QB: Rodgers, Fields, Love
Solid for 1qb. You can drop love if you need a roster spot.

RB: Sanders, Dillon, Gibson/Robinson, Achane
Definitely needs investment here. Don't get me wrong I think it's a decentish group, but given the low amount of offensive starters I think you need one stud rb.

WR: Jefferson, Lamb, Metcalf, G Wilson, Burks, JSN
Damn! Okay now I don't feel as bad about the rbs. I don't think I really need to add comments to this group.

TE: Goedert, Gesick, Musgraves
As long as you have that wr group and no TE requirement I really don't care about TEs. If you are required to start a TE, Goedert is fine.

The first thing to do is to look at the rebuilding teams and see if they have available vet rbs. I think trying to acquire an ekeler or Jacobs would be good. I worry about Chubb but he's still better than what you got.

Since you have achane I'd look to see how cheap mostert would be to acquire.

Don't be afraid to spend your 24 capital to help you get a big name RB.
