Updates:
Made another few trades. Had 3 10th round picks and traded them for Olave. My depth is going to be an issue but thrilled with this core.

5.01- Ekeler

Obviously Mahomes and Burrow are studs and will hold value for a long time, but you're seeing that filling out the roster is tough when you trade up. I'd go Jeudy and hope he gets a trade to an A QB.

I like Rhamondre as a player much more than Jeudy. Overall, I'm still not convinced Jeudy can be that guy. But in a start-up, I lean ever so slightly to Jeudy over a RB who may have as little as a 2-3 year window to be an upper producer.

The only thing that would change my mind and choose Rhamondre is if you think you're going to be able to put together a year 1 team that is a strong contender. If you think you can, I'd go for Rhamondre and lock down one of your starting RBs for that big push. By choosing Eckler, it looks like you might be in for an early all-in push. Rhamondre would be a nice bookend to Eckler for a 2023 run.

I generally lean towards WR. I generally lean away from NE RBs. But if you don’t have any rookie picks in the next two years you’ve already committed to trying to win right away. There’s no upside to losing without your rookie picks.

All that said, I’m a slight lean towards Rhamondre (assuming you think RB will be dry by the time you pick again)

Edit: I just saw how deep your starting requirements are, wow that’s a deep starting lineup. I no longer lean Rhamondre. Take BPA each round

Stevenson has the edge based on the lack of RBs soon to be available. I like Jeudy as a long term option more, but if you are trying to contender immediately, take the productive RB.

Stevenson easily for me with this build. You traded your futures, drafted ekeler, I’d go for a contender here.
I’m Also pretty low on jeudy so that’s factoring in here too.

Agree with Stevenson if win now. Even if it’s jeudy, he’s a good piece to get a RB to WR needy team when he produces (which he will).

Appreciate the thoughts. Went with Rhamondre. Think RB falls off faster than WR and like some noted I’ve committed to a contender build.

Too late, as I see you picked. But I'll throw my thoughts anyway.

In a start-up -- especially one in March -- I am 100% going BPA. Even more so with deep lineups, as Jrblaha noted. This is a dynasty start-up, not an October waivers run where you're trying to fill one last spot or a November trade deadline where you're making a move for one your final pieces. You have so many opportunities between now and September kickoff, the playoffs, and future years to shape your roster. I am never passing on value at this point in the season and certainly in a startup.

If you prefer Stevenson to Jeudy, then, by all means, go ahead. But if you're taking Stevenson because of roster considerations yet you prefer Jeudy, I think that's a mistaken mindset. Take the best player/value at this point over positional need (even better if they align, of course!).

Nice pick. I'm keeping the faith on Jeudy 1 more year, but I think your Ekeler pick started you on a path where you're in win now mode and Stevenson better aligns with that goal.

Jeudy went 7.01. Tried moving up but no luck.

Probably taking Dotson with my next pick at 9.07. Doesn’t 100% fit my build but think he’s the BPA

Thought I was otc and I wasn’t so didn’t get Dotson. Ended up trading back out of the 9th, and then traded my 3 10th round picks for Olave (who went 3.12). Probably going to have some depth issues, but really excited about the core here.

I would go Rhamondre and use a vet wr in place of Jeudy

Came late to the party but after catching up, I think you made the right call. Had you not traded up, and also added Eckeler, I would have suggested Jeudy.
