Re: Purdy
Before we start fitting Purdy for his gold jacket, on all 3 of his touchdowns passes yesterday, the receivers had 5 or more yards of separation. Purdy could turn out to be the next Tom Brady or he could turn out to be the next Nick Foles.
Re: Purdy
True that, but the kid looks like a gamer. It will be interesting to watch this scenario in San Fran..Forza_Azzurri wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 8:04 am Before we start fitting Purdy for his gold jacket, on all 3 of his touchdowns passes yesterday, the receivers had 5 or more yards of separation. Re: Purdy
This is true. He’s in the perfect situation.Forza_Azzurri wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 8:04 am Before we start fitting Purdy for his gold jacket, on all 3 of his touchdowns passes yesterday, the receivers had 5 or more yards of separation. However, you have to give credit to Purdy for being able to extend some of these plays and finding the open man. He did it on both the CMC and Mitchell tds. The Mitchell one, specifically, Jimmy G 100% takes a sack there.
Re: Purdy
He also had an extended play, running from one sideline to the other and made a throw to the back corner of end zone that was perfect for Aiyuk, but he didn’t complete the catch.Forza_Azzurri wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 8:04 am Before we start fitting Purdy for his gold jacket, on all 3 of his touchdowns passes yesterday, the receivers had 5 or more yards of separation. Re: Purdy
Sure did. Despite the incompletion, that may have been his most impressive play of the night. And he had several.trc wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 8:57 amHe also had an extended play, running from one sideline to the other and made a throw to the back corner of end zone that was perfect for Aiyuk, but he didn’t complete the catch.Forza_Azzurri wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 8:04 am Before we start fitting Purdy for his gold jacket, on all 3 of his touchdowns passes yesterday, the receivers had 5 or more yards of separation. Aiyuk definitely should’ve came down with that one.

Steering clear of the PSA Purdy thread, so reviving the original Purdy thread to move this here-
In dynasty, I could see preferring him to Pickett, Dak and Daniel Jones. On the fence on Love.
I could see Purdy being what Mac Jones could be in this offense.hockeyBjj wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 11:42 amDid anyone see the actual news from the head coach I put in here?hockeyBjj wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 10:57 am https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootba ... ur-best-qb
From Shanahan himself:
Shanahan said the only question the 49ers had this offseason about Purdy was whether his injured elbow would heal in time for him to start Week One — not whether he’ll start if healthy, which he absolutely will.
“He’s been the starter since last year ended,” Shanahan said of Purdy. “He was always clearly our starter, but there were so many questions about his injury, how he’d come back from it, that we didn’t even know if he’d be ready for this year, so we had to prepare for everything else. I mean, Trey was the guy we gave the keys to last year, so we were definitely excited to have him in a situation [to play], and we also didn’t know if Brock would be back, so we needed someone to come in and at least compete with Trey, and give us a chance, because Trey was hurt last year, and just got cleared before OTAs. That’s why we brought Sam in here. And those guys have been competing their butts off, and I feel great playing with those guys. But like I told them, like I’ve said to media, like I said to everyone since Day 1, based on what Brock did on tape last year, it’s hard to beat that out in practice.”

Re: Purdy
Oh no, what has Dak done to be mentioned in the same grouping as Kenny (zero-20-point-games) Pickett?Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 12:23 pm Steering clear of the PSA Purdy thread, so reviving the original Purdy thread to move this here-I could see Purdy being what Mac Jones could be in this offense.hockeyBjj wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 11:42 amDid anyone see the actual news from the head coach I put in here?hockeyBjj wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 10:57 am https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootba ... ur-best-qb

Dak is clearly ahead of the others mentioned, in real football, and Dynasty, IMO.Prison_Mike wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 1:08 pmOh no, what has Dak done to be mentioned in the same grouping as Kenny (zero-20-point-games) Pickett?Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 12:23 pm Steering clear of the PSA Purdy thread, so reviving the original Purdy thread to move this here-I could see Purdy being what Mac Jones could be in this offense.

Re: Purdy
In real football, definitely see Dak as above the others. Schemes have held back football talents at QB before (see Aaron Rodgers), and I have serious doubts McCarthy will build an effective scheme, especially one that lets Prescott stack up fantasy points. I have no such doubts about Purdy and San Fran. The HC, scheme and weapons are all superior to what Dallas has.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 1:09 pmDak is clearly ahead of the others mentioned, in real football, and Dynasty, IMO.Prison_Mike wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 1:08 pmOh no, what has Dak done to be mentioned in the same grouping as Kenny (zero-20-point-games) Pickett?Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 12:23 pm Steering clear of the PSA Purdy thread, so reviving the original Purdy thread to move this here-

Prescott's dynasty value has plateaud in dynasty or is even descending, while Purdy is ascending. Most would prefer Dak, but I'd take the value "downgrade" if I can get halfway decent value thrown in. I'd even prefer Cousins over Prescott- both are older redraft-y QBs, but I believe in Cousins' near term production opportunities way more.
