I posted about this a few weeks ago. Boutte was one of the guys I was concerned about. It happens every year. I'm not all that surprised.

I am not shocked, as the rumors were there, but disappointed, as it's another blow to the 2023 class.
I also think that Boutte may use the transfer portal to escape the bad situation he is in.

Corum had knee surgery and is out for the year. I can't find any specifics. I am wondering what he does, if he can't be ready for the combine.

If he is smart he goes the the NFL. RB lives are short to begin with, why waste another year outside of the league? I don't think anyone has been as big of a riser as Corum this year in terms of offensive skill position players. If anything being injured and seeing his draft stock falter should be evidence for opting to get in the league and get your guaranteed 4 years of salary, rather than risk further injury to NIL which you can get as an NFL player.

Depends on the severity of the knee injury, and what it would do to his draft stock. If he goes in the 6th this year, because it's a major knee injury, and the 2nd next year, he may be better off staying. ETN stayed, and got a first round contract, which he wouldn't have got if he had declared early. There's always the Bryce Young side of things, too. Really depends on the severity of this knee injury, and if he can test and get a day 2 grade without it, which is unlikely.

Very true very true. I feel so bad for love, I really liked his profile coming out. Kid was a highlight waiting to happen. At least he is legitimately doctor level smart and the NFL was never his end goal if I believe

He should have a better situation at LSU next season.

It's likely that you're going to be watching a lot of Will Levis.

An absolute enigma of an eval, questionable decision making (oh god, the mayo) but prototype size and build, and a big fookin' cannon for an arm.

You might want to try trade up to 1.02 or 1.03 now before it's even more prohibitive if you like what you see from either Stroud or Young.
Yeah, you're not wrong, though it really depends the year and how set people are at QB. Pickett was the FIRST QB to go in our Superflex last year, at 1.08. Maybe it was a bad year. It went Hall, Walker, London, Wilson, Williams, Olave, Burks, Pickett. Willis #14, Rider #22, Corral #24. But I expect Stroud and Bryce will get a lot more love.

Year before Lawrence was #1, Lance #3, Wilson #6, Fields #7, MJones #12.

Not sure if anyone cares, but I'm bored and felt like sharing some of my early season scouting notes on the upcoming class.

*Note that I am still extremely early and have not done research on every top25 prospect. I have not done FULL research on anyone really - as I will update after the combine, draft, and more film review. But I have watched all-game tapes, highlights, and watched a lot of college football this season on the players I will review. I plan to add more players / notes as the off-season progresses in case anyone is interested. And note these aren't in any particular order (though I'll generally be starting off with the names at the tops of most people's list and working my way down).

Bijan Robinson
  • Built in a lab to play the RB position - excellent combination of size, speed, power, and athleticism even if he's not an elite sprinter
  • Elite vision in-between the tackles, great lateral jump-cut ability, finishes runs falling forward / through defenders consistently
  • Excellent repertoire of moves - shows off a great stiff arm, explosive lateral jump cuts, spin moves, stutters, etc.
  • Does not possess elite long speed and is not as natural of a receiver as Gibbs, but he's still a big plus RB in the passing game. Can block, run legit routes, and has good hands
  • Curious to see what (if) he runs in the 40. Doesn't seem to possess great long speed, but most of his breakaway runs come after making a few defenders miss, which could lead to fatigue. I doubt he runs a 4.35, but interested to see if he's a 4.4 guy or a 4.55 guy - but shouldn't matter much to his NFL projection
  • He's a top5 dynasty asset for me right now
Stylistic Comp(s) - Saquon Barkley / Nick Chubb

Sean Tucker
  • Explosive athlete with great vision, he has a great feel for the cut-back lanes - both on designed outside zone runs and when the play design breaks down
  • Not a true power back because of his size but runs with excellent strength. He's short but stout and more often than not initiates the contact with defenders
  • Not a pass-catching specialist like Gibbs, but a plus in the passing game - 56+ catches combined the last 2 years
  • Excellent speed in the open field, destroys a lot of pursuit angles and can really make second-level defenders miss without slowing down or compromising his long speed - this turns a lot of 10-15 yard runs into 25+ yard TD house calls
  • He'll be a top5 player on my 2023 big board in all likelihood and projects as a foundational RB for dynasty squads
Stylistic Comp(s) - DeAngelo Williams / Ray Rice

Planned to add more, but ran out of time - will get a few more prospects up in the next 24 - 48 hours.

While I myself like Sean Tucker, I think him being a smaller back and not showing out great against top competition wll drive him down boards. If he doesn’t test explosively he may take a Spiller like fall
I may or may not be related to Bryan Edwards

Absolutely zero chance he doesn’t test explosively barring one of his legs falling off.
A former 55m, 100m, and 200m sprint champion, Tucker has legitimate track speed.
Former junior Olympic athlete. Runs track for Syracuse.
