Given Toney's talent/draft capital, tape, situation, and advanced metrics (YPRR, target separation, target share, win rate vs. man, all are elite), he has top 5 WR upside. His only concern is availability, when he is on the field is elite.
Players that deserve this statement are not traded by a team with horrible WR talent. How can you possible not factor in the off field issues?
Because off field issues can be worked out, managed, or ignored, but talent is either there or it isn’t.

There is an extremely long list of talented players with far greater off field issues than Toney that have had long productive careers. If a player produces on the field, outside issues are pretty easily forgotten, and Reid has a very long history of effectively managing personalities while Daboll has to build his locker room credibility from nothing.

Didn't Pickens drop in the draft because of issues with his maturity? Pretty sure he was suspended multiple times in college.

If I accepted trading away Pickens for Toney/McBride I would not be mad right now.

I contemplated it thoroughly seeing it as fair value at the time and the Ertz injury would have sealed it. With half the KCC WR room injured right now both guys would have made for some very tradable pieces.

But still happy to have Pickens on the squad. He's firmly worth a 1st to a much larger market. Toney+McBride for a 1st would have to be to the right buyer. But those guys could both rise in value.

I have the same question about Palmer vs Pickens… I was offered Pickens and an early 2nd for Palmer and a Kare 1st??

Palmer having a breakout season and still just 23. Also, just as likely to help you down the stretch
