nick bolton help

for team 3 in sig. Nick bolton owner considering trading him for draft capital next yr. Thoughts on his consistent production. Is this guy just having a good year, or would you put $ on him being a premium lb for some years to come?

I’ll almost never put money on ANY off-ball LB being an elite long term real life NFL talent

For Bolton, in the best of the best IDP scoring leagues, I still wouldn’t pay more than a 3rd or guaranteed late 2nd if I’m a contender and we start as many as 6 LBs

lol so paying a first is out of the question... It's so hard to not trade a pick for a proven player when the pick is just a lotto ticket you hope turns into a contributing player. Not to argue the value of a defensive player but its like you have a pick you hope becomes something special that can be a long term starter for your team. in our league where bolton is 3rd in points at lb and top 20 in scoring in offense and defense overall, can you really hope for something much better with that pick anyway?

Where do the following players rank in your league’s scoring?

Mychal Walker

Just a few off the top of my head. All of them were free a few months ago. There are so many top-20 LBs that are free every year, which is why I’ll never pay a 1st for one and will almost always sell a LB for a 2nd (or even a 3rd depending on the situation)

One lesson I have painfully learned: Never ever trust Steve Spagnuolo with linebackers.

Maybe Nick Bolton is the exception. I wouldn't want to find out by sacrificing significant draft capital.

Always sell high on LBs. I did so a few times already

Gave J Griffin and J Hawkins (safety)
Got round 4 pick

Gave A Singleton and round 4
Got round 3

Gave D Long and D Hill (safety)
Got round 4

Gave K Hunt, D Armstrong (DE), M Walker and TJ Edwards
Got round 1, 6, J Hill and KJ Osbourne (flipped Osbourne for a 5)

***If they're not impact defensive players, just sell and study your snap counts/injuries.
