Right now my RB2 is Patterson. I only have to start 2 RB'S. I hate going into a year not trying to do everything I can to compete. I feel if a few things go my way I could make some noise.

Is this a dumb trade regardless?

This would be an incredibly bad trade for you. I have a lot of faith in Davota Smith's talent. Your QB is out until week 13 and your team is young. Build for next year. You can always make a trade in season if you are somehow competing. I think based off the makeup of your team, it will take a year or two to age into a championship contender assuming you hit on a few of the rookies.

Smith very easily. This is forcing a trade to have a name at RB2. Sanders has never been consistent and I do not think that will change this year or moving forward. You are giving up a fair amount of value upfront but a ton long term. Look elsewhere and hold or hold in general here.
