Big SF Trade Advice - Poll

Postby jessup45 » Fri Aug 19, 2022 6:15 pm

Teams not up to date in my signature and this specific team isn’t included.

New startup from the summer, full PPR, SF with 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex and 1SF. Went heavy QB early with Murray, Hurts and Lance and then ended up week at WR with Sutton, Hollywood, Claypool and Toney as my top for with quite a few flyers after that (Chark, Pierce, Marshall type afterwards). Trade offer received in Poll. I hate giving up the best player in the deal but think it’s best for my team. Would love your thoughts.

I would hold. Rodgers is old and has minimal value fair or not with having no idea how much longer he will play. He is unhappy again this offseason...None of the WRs coming back make this deal worth it especially with including Brown. McLaurin is good but not elite and Bateman + Kirk are gambles. Murray is worth a ton in SF. Easy pass.

Makes sense. That was my original inclination but felt like having Hurts and Lance also, while getting Arodg back, Made McLaurin, Bateman and even Kirk pretty decent upgrades to my lineup each week. I also admittedly have had a huge man crush on Bateman even before the moved Hollywood, and think he has serious upside.

I actually kinda like the Rodgers/Bateman/McLaurin side better. Yeah, it’s a big age difference on QBs but I think Rodgers will play 3 more years, remember he signed a huge extension and I value Bateman a little more than M.Brown plus you get McLaurin & Kirk.

I like to use startup values to assess trade like this.
Murray = 1st round startup
Hollywood = 6/7
Rodgers = 3/4
McLaurin = 5/6
Bateman = 7/8
Kirk = 11/12
The only elite player involved is Murray. You're not getting any premium pieces back for giving up what many consider one of the elite 6/7 QBs. WR2-4 types are the most plentiful type of production to replace and that's all you're getting back - an extra 2 WR in that range.
I'm with Gator Sens. Easy pass.
