Gabe Davis - Pickens

Would y’all swap Gabe Davis for Pickens? Typically I don’t do wr for wr but I’m tempted. .5ppr start 10 superflex not that it matters. I’m gonna be a bad team this year but looking at next year to contend.

I like Pickens but Davis has shown well overall at times and is still young. I would hold Davis.

With the buzz Pickens is getting in camp so far, I would make the move. I think there are a lot of mouths to feed in Buffalo and Pickens looks the real deal

I value davis overall a little higher right now but long term definitely could be a coin flip. If the future is all your focused on, I’m not sure there’s a bad choice one way or the other.

Yeah I’m def in tank for Bijan mode this year haha. I have a handful of 23 firsts so hoping to have the ammo to compete or atleast be on the verge next year. Both young studs, I really want to do it and get Pickens but trying not to do anything based off 3 days of non padded practice. I kind of feel like pickens seemingly clear path to the alpha role next year is worth the shot but projecting this early makes me nervous.

I do think pickens realistically probbaly helps you for the tank fest for the short term because he probably won’t have that consistent role all year. If you haven’t yet you could try offering like gabe and a 3rd for pickens and a 2nd. Something along those lines

Yeah that’s what I THINK will happen, also the obj to bills rumors makes me nervous about gabe long term as well.

I've only heard he'd probably be back with the rams, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

I think Davis is a poor route runner, personally, and is currently overvalued at his ADP.

I would slam the button for Pickens, who has top-3 upside from this year's Rookie receiver class - and appears to be starting the hype train early with his performance thus far in camp.

I liked Davis when he was a cheap dart throw as a rookie, but seems like people are way out over their skis projecting wr2 numbers for a guy who couldn't take snaps and targets from Emmanuel Sanders and Cole Beasley.
Davis is still a better bet for start worthy numbers this year, but if my focus is 2023+ I'm taking Pickens.

As an owner of both, I'm torn.

Davis has proven he can produce and looks ready to make a jump to WR18-24 at least. I think Pickens has a higher ceiling and could be a special fantasy producer ... but because he hasn't proven anything yet, Pickens' floor is he might be a total bust.

I don't think there is a right or wrong choice here. Go with the player you like better, for whatever reason.

If Tank'22 is a real thing for your team, Pickens is your man. Gabe should easily outscore Pickens this season, by at least double.
