Is Etienne more than a 3rd down back?

I'm thinking of trading for ETN, I think he (if he can avoid reinjury) can be an every week, plug in and forget about it type back. My problem is, I'm in a league where RB recieving stats basically provide no value at all. Ive seen a lot of talk about ETN being no more than a 3rd down guy, which i disagree with. I would appreciate some outside opinions.

With the injury to Robinson and his timetable being a bit muddy, I think Etienne will get a ton of opportunity to be the main gut and show what he can do. Jacksonville essentially brought in no RB help, that to me speaks volumes. Etienne is a great buy depending on price. I'm in a retool and was thrilled to land him.
