The extremely talented and always underrated Amari Cooper Thread
Re: Amari to Cleveland
Personally I can't see how moving offenses like this could be good for his production. Goes from top 5 passing to a bottom five. Sure goes from wr2 to top dog but he'd need to pick up so much more percentage of the passing volume to make up for that
Re: Amari to Cleveland
Offered the 1.12 this year for him in a 1 QB. Got turned down immediately. That may be considered an overpay at this point. The Browns are just a horrible spot.

Re: Amari to Cleveland
I know one knock on Odell was his injury history. Doesn’t Cooper have injury history as well? Or am I misremembering?
Re: Amari to Cleveland
I believe he does as well. From what I remember his right leg is beat to hell. Ankle issues, knee, foot, basically everythingslaughterrt wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 1:11 pm I know one knock on Odell was his injury history. Doesn’t Cooper have injury history as well? Or am I misremembering?

He's also just not as good as Odell

Re: Amari to Cleveland
Cleveland is a run first offense with a mediocre QB... This is obviously a downgrade for Cooper. They franchised Njoku and overpaid Hooper because 12 personnel packages and help with the run.
I think Amari will do well enough, but I'd be trying to sell right now if anyone thinks this is good news.

Re: Amari to Cleveland
This is good news for anyone wanting a 2022 rookie wr tho (since Cleveland hopefully doesn’t draft one early now)

Re: Amari to Cleveland
I'm thinking of sending out a 4th round pick to the Cooper owner. If he was traded for a 5th maybe he'll bite.
Re: Amari to Cleveland
Yeah, I suppose that's true. I don't own him anywhere, just assumed he was locked into lineups despite a down year.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

Amari is done. The more interesting story is how this affects Dallas. I'm a ceedee owner and I'm nervous about him being a WR1. Also Gallup is a FA unless I missed them resigning him. Agree Gallup would be a good buy if he stays in Dallas but the window is closed now. Realistically he was never cheap because people were hyping him all offseason as someone to target in the hopes he lands with a great team who would use him more

This year has the WR depth for Dallas to get a good talent in the 2nd and later. Whether they believe-grandmabetty wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 4:05 pm Amari is done. -if Lamb can be an outside WR consistently
-if Gallup (assuming resigned)is ready to be back week 1
-if C Wilson can step up his snap count as a #3
If one of these is a no, I could see a WR getting drafted day 2 easily. If 2 are no, WR becomes a priority, imo.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K

Wouldn't surprise in round 1 but they really need to go O Line IMO.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 4:31 pmThis year has the WR depth for Dallas to get a good talent in the 2nd and later. I disagree with those saying he is done or even that Odell is better than Cooper these days. Cooper is very good although he has had nagging injuries the last couple of years.
He is an upgrade in Cleveland IMO and Landry may be traded there so Cooper is worth buying today.

Re: Amari to Cleveland
My thoughts exactly, as a Devy owner of Garrett Wilson in Drake London. Every time I saw a mock with one of them going to Cleveland I threw up a bit in my mouth. I have zero Cooper so I’m fine with watching Baker throw it over his head a couple times a game.

Cedrick Wilson is also an unrestricted free agent. Right now, the Cowboys only have Noah Brown and Simi Fehoko behind CeeDee.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 4:31 pmThis year has the WR depth for Dallas to get a good talent in the 2nd and later.
