MT or Terry

Postby Hankybro21 » Wed Jun 30, 2021 5:28 pm

Team 3. Pretty straight forward.

Give: MT
Get: Terry

Buys back a couple years of age but prolly lose some higher end production as well. The team getting MT is probably my main competition for the next few years, for whatever that’s worth.

Thoughts?
Team 1
Q: Allen, Lamar
W: Devonta, Nuk, Godwin, Adams, Diontae, MT, Bateman, Toney, Osborn
R: JT, Henry, Ekeler, Gibbs, Mattison, Ford
T: Kelce

Team 2
Q: Allen, Mahomes, ARich
W: Jefferson, AJB, Tyreek, GW, Ridley, Godwin, MT, Downs, Toney
R: JT, CMC, Barkley, Breece, J. Cook, Kamara
T: Kelce, Hock
2024: 1.04, 1.05, Pick 21
2025: 1st (early), 1st (early), 1st (mid)

Team 3
Q: Lamar, Herbert, Goff, Geno
W: Chase, AJB, Waddle, Pittman, Ridley, MT, Terrace Marshall, Downs
R: CMC, Ekeler, Bijan, Barkley, JT, Tucker
T: Andrews, Granson
2024: 1.02, pick 13

Team 4
Q: Mahomes, Allen, Geno
W: Tyreek, Lamb, Ridley, Pittman, Diontae, MT
R: CMC, Henry, JT, Chubb, Dobbins, Tucker
T: Kelce, Gesicki, Kittle

Thomas for me also. I expect him to bounce back with health.

I’ll be the minority here and say Terry. He fits your team better and I think they will be pretty close in production this year .
I have a feeling bad feeling (QB change, drama, age) Thomas will be hard to sell next season and Terry’s value goes even higher

MT easily for me but I’m lower on Terry than anyone on this board.

MT if I’m contending. In a rebuild I would move MT but probably for something other than McLaurin.

I love Mclaurin. Would definitely trade for him. But I would still want something back. MT has been dominant and had and injury riddle season combined with a Qb on his way to retirement. I’m not ready to give up him yet. Maybe going into next year its Mclaurin over him, if Terry takes another step and MT struggles again. But this year, I need a plus on Mclaurin to get MT.

Piling on. Keep MT unless you can get something of value added to McLaurin.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

MT owners are in a tough spot. His perceived value is way down, and if he doesn’t have a bounce back season, it’ll be very unlikely his value will ever recover. On “start-up ADP value”, the Terry side should be adding, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the script flips next year and you’d have to add to MT to get Terry. If this was offered to you, I’d ask for something small back on top of Terry (future 2nd or 3rd round pick).
12 Team Superflex - PPR, 0.25 PPC - QB/2RB/3WR/TE/Flex/Superflex

WR: DeVonta, Waddle, Aiyuk, Nacua, McLaurin, Hopkins, M Williams, Mingo, Wan’Dale, Hyatt

One of these guys still holds the NFL record for most catches in a season. Can't trade him straight up for Terry.
