Kittle for 1.03

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Kittle for 1.03

Postby Blue710 » Thu Feb 25, 2021 6:12 am

16 team League, TE Premium Superflex Full PPR. Is the 1.03 for Kittle straight up a fair deal?

Team
QB'S : Burrow, Mariota
RB'S : Mixon, Harris Pollard, Mack, M.Brown
WR'S : Metcalf, Higgins Gallup, Ruggs, Kirk, Meyers, Pringle
TE'S : Trautman,, Reed
1.03, 1.07, 1.08, 2.02, 2.03

9 starting spots, 1QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, TE, 3 FLEX(W/R/B/TE) AND i SUPERFLEX(QB/WR/TE/RB)

Appreciate the advice.

TE Premium Kittle is worth an early 1st.

I would have Kittle >= 1.03

You need help at TE (although Trautman is a very good prospect) so I would make this deal quite happily.
TEAM 1
Dynasty PPR 1QB (12 Team League)

QB - Murray, Fields, Pickett, Howell.
RB - Gibbs, R. White, Swift, Javonte Williams, Charbonnet, Allegier, Tank Bigsby, Penny.
WR - Nacua, Dell, Hollywood, Jameson Williams, Burks, Mooney, Atwell, Melton, Phillips, Washington, Lazard.
TE - Ferguson, Mayer, Knox.
DEF - Bills, Vikings.

Rookie Picks: 1.02, 2.02, 3.02, 4.02 and 5.02.

TEAM 2
Dynasty PPR - SuperFlex and TE Prem. (16 teams)

QB - Prescott, Pickett, Ridder, Mariota, Mullins, Willis.
RB - Walker III, R. White, Montgomery, Singletary, R. Jones, Mack, Hull, Sermon.
WR - Adams, Higgins, Watson, Meyers, Gabe Davis, W. Robinson, Dotson, Raymond, ARob.
TE - McBride, H. Henry, B. Jordan, Bates, B. Hopkins.

Rookie Picks: 2.14 and 3.14.

I admittedly am not good at calibrating for 16 team, but that roster doesn’t look competitive. I’m not buying Kittle at retail unless he puts me over the top.

I would rather just draft Kyle Pitts at 1.03 personally.

Unpopular opinion that many might flame me for, but Kittle is not a buy for me, but a sell. I find his playing style hard and reckless, I believe the injuries will start to become a constant frustrating thing and I do not believe he will have the career length people would hope for.

You need help across the board. Trading your 1.03 to add Kittle to this squad is like pawning your tires to put a Mercedez badge on an '89 Chevette.

Because your team is not a contender, with or without Kittle, I'd rather add three top young talents who would all be on the same timetable for future success. Take the BAP with your first five picks, let those mature with Burrow/Metcalf/Higgins, and in 2022 and 2023 you could be ready to be a repeat contender.

PS - I'd try to trade Mixon for the best possible draft pick you can get, whether '21 or '22. No need to have him on this team either. This team could be really good 16 months from now if you plan for it.
TEAM 1:
12 Team ppr w/20 keepers - start 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1FLX 6IDP 1DEF
QB: Tua, Lamar, CWilliams
RB: Etienne, Pacheco, JFord, Corum, JWright
WR: Lamb, JChase, Waddle, Pickens, Q Johnston, DeDouglas, MCorley
TE: Goedert, Okongwo
DEF: Cowboys, Ravens
IDP:(LB) Bolton, DLloyd; (DE/DL) Sieler; (S/CB) Pitre, Bates
2023 & 2022 Champion: 2020 third place: 2019 Champion

TEAM 2:
14 Team 30roster SF/ppr/TEP - QB/RB/WR/TE/5FLX/SF
QB: Tua, CJStroud, Carr, AOC, MWhite, Lock
RB: Etienne, Stevenson, GusE, Singletary, AJD, CEH, Spiller
WR: Amon-Ra, Kirk, Dell, Thielen, Gallup, VJefferson, Ch Jones
TE: Andrews, Waller, Taysom, Smythe, WMallory, JOliver

The value is there, but I still think you need QB help over everything else. Kittle is a great piece in the format, but does not help you in your most needed area.

I like the value, but the QB need is too great here. I’d keep 1.03 and draft best QB available.

I think you are better off in a 16 team league than others are saying, but Kittle is not the missing piece. With a SF this deep, you have to come away with a QB when you have that high of a pick. It is the only way you will get one

This week I easily declined Kittle for the 1.01 in FFPC Superflex league my sig team 2. I would decline here also.

with your team....hold the pick.....kittle doesn't get you over the hump......with the 1.07 or 1.08...grab the rookie TE.....and keep building....you need help all over...build depth...maybe next year or the year after you can compete.....

if you really like 3 QBs in this class, hold the pick. otherwise, i'd rather take kittle and try to trade him in-season for someone unsexy but effective like counsins and something, or a sexier, injured QB. of course, you know whether that'll be possible or not in your league, but if kittle has a stretch of good/great games without an injury, his value will shoot up.
