Dunta Robinson: Head Hunter

Postby meineymoe » Sun Sep 18, 2011 8:15 pm

So who else thinks that Robinson should be suspended for at least one game, along with the huge fine he's gonna receive for his helmet-to-helmet on Maclin Sunday night? He didn't even pretend to go for a tackle, just an obvious missile to the head to injure, much like last season when he did it to DeSean Jackson

That really pissed me off. Yes, he needs to be suspended and heavily fined. No question.

I'm not one for over protection of players but the head to head hits aren't something to mess around with. Robinson should have been removed from the game, suspended, and heavily fined. I hate seeing players knowingly try to hurt other players. Robinson is now in the scumbag category of players with Asante Samuel, Eric Smith, and company

One of the games true 'tough guys'...where is Conrad Dobler when we need him? He'd take care of a scumbag like this...the fines mean nothing to these players...

Maybe I'm off my rocker, but to me it looked like he was trying to lead with his shoulder and that his helmet just sort of accidentally hit Maclin's helmet. He was absolutely going for a big hit and not a proper tackle, but I guess I'm not sold that his intent was helmet to helmet.

I am usually against all of the player protection penalties and fines but I cannot believe that Robinson did not get suspended here with his prior history. Only a fine for him, really? He should have been suspended a game imo.

That's what I thought. Even the announcers said it looked like he was trying to use his shoulder.
