This move makes little sense to me. Taylor is clearly washed up after posting a 2.4 ypc last year. I'm not sure he will even be out LSH.
QB: Brees, Ryan
RB: J.Taylor, K.Hunt, R.Jones, Dillon, McKinnon
WR: D.Adams, T.Hill, A.Rob, Lockett, Anderson, P.Campbell, C.Samuel
TE: Kittle, Olsen, D.Sample
DL: Ngakoue, E.Griffen, J.Sweat, Bowser
LB: Mosley, D.Jones, Warner, Treviathan, R. Evans, Okereke, M.Harrison
DB: J.Johnson, T.Mathieu, T.Walker, J.Jones, X.Woods

It makes sense because the Cardinals really wanted a veteran 3rd down-type back. They are making this move because they have little faith that Wells will stay healthy all year.

That would be perfectly fine if Taylor had played better. However, I'd rather take a risk on a younger back at that point. At least you have the possibility for upside or a pleasant surprise. The Cards are doomed if they have to turn to Chester Taylor in the event of a Beanie injury.

Remember, this is actual football, not fantasy. Obviously, I would have loved for it to only be LSH backing up Beanie, but Taylor gives them excellent pass blocking and great experience for a guy with very little mileage on his legs at 31.

Taylor is only there to pass block. Although, he actually did look like he found a little bit of life in the Bears last preseason game.... before being cut of course. Taylor looked pathetic last year.
