According to Jude Wilbers of WREX in Rockford, Illinois, Chiefs TE Tony Moeaki is out for the season with a torn ACL.
The rumors had been flying all morning, but this is the first confirmation. Moeaki suffered the injury in the preseason finale when the Chiefs opted to get substantial playing time for the starters. The oft-injured tight end was still recovering from offseason surgery, though it's not clear if it's the same knee. If the report is true, it's a huge loss for the Chiefs, as Moeaki had been moved around in a Dallas Clark role in training camp.
