I can see them creating this false idea they'll take Tua so someone (Miami) trades multiple 1sts to acquire #2, but I can also see how it might actually be true. Could shake things up draft wise.

And would you prefer Tua in WAS or MIA?
I believe its just smoke to get someone to pay to move up but who knows anymore, it wouldn't blow me away if they drafted Tua there.
New regime in Redskins country. Would not surprise if they go QB at #2. Of course it wouldn't surprise me Tua went 1.1 either.

Haskins was a mid first rounder and didn't look all that good last year in camp or when he started. He isn't special IMO. He would probably be the 5th or 6th QB drafted in this class.
From what well respected people in the industry are saying, Dan Snyder won't let that happen. Haskins is their guy.

I don't believe anything teams say this time of year prior to the draft. It's all speculation but in the NFL I doubt anyone would rate Haskins close to Tua or Burrow.

He is their guy today.... that's about the only fact before they are on the clock.

I would take Young there personally but the pull of an elite QB is very strong on draft day and the NFC East has 3 better ones than Haskins IMO.

Haskins is friends with Snyder’s son from high school. He’s not getting kicked to the curb yet.

If that is the metric Snyder really uses then he is an idiot. A billion dollar team gives the car keys to Haskins because he is friends with his son...... Must suck to be a Redskins Fan

Tua is a better prospect than Haskins. That should simply be all it boils down to. Chase Young is great, but QB prospects of Tua level are more of a rarity.

- Draft Tua
- Let Tua sit if he still needs to recover from his injury
- Hope that Haskins can build his value up, and trade him to a QB-needy team

I said this before, but I didn’t think there would be that many good landing spots for this class.

Now Texans can be crossed off after trading for DJ.

Titans tag DHenry.

Doubt the cardinals draft a RB, after transition tagging Drake + losing their 2nd rounder.

Atlanta, Miami, and Tampa look like favorites to draft RBs.

Favorite Prospect to Team Fits

Postby tresskid84 » Thu Apr 09, 2020 6:10 am

With the draft 2 weeks away, what are some of the draft pick/team fits you would love to see coming up?

Tyler Johnson to Tampa with Brady I think would be outstanding, given his route running, esp on slants. Also fits the type of WR Arians likes to throw in the slot, historically (Fitz, Wayne, Ward . . . not saying Johnson will be necessarily be as good as them though, haha). Godwin played a bunch in slot last year, but he/they could easily rotate inside and out, which again, Arians hasnt typically had any problem doing in the past.

What other fits are you hoping for/think would be interesting?

Green Bay could really use Denzel Mims.

Lamb would be a great fit in SF.

I think Houston would get the most out of Tee Higgins.

Imagine Baltimore replacing Mark Ingram with Jonathan Taylor.

CEH's ideal landing spot is probably Tampa where he can catch passes from Brady.

Denzel Mims to the Vikings is a good fit. Thielen is elite in the short & mid range. Mims would be a good outside WR and deep threat to complement Thielen.

CLH to Indy would suit Rivers to a T. I doubt Indy uses the capital necessary to get him though.

Any of the fast WRs to Philadelphia is a good fit. They're desperate for WR talent.

Eagles fan here, haha. Reagor I think would be an ideal fit in round 1 (though I'd be happier with corner/safety, depending whos there, and get wr day 2).

I like CLH to either Indy or Tampa, both are good fits I think.

Taylor to Detroit in round 2 would be interesting to me (though I kind of like the Kerryon/Bo combo).

Jefferson to GB would be nice. Funchess isn't the answer.

Swift to KC is a dream world, but I'd like him in MIA too. I think Flores is doing some wonderful things with the team. It'll still take a few years to build, but they're getting a core in. I still don't understand trading Fitzpatrck to the Steelers, but we'll see what they do in the draft with that pick if it pays off. If they do end up trading all those 1sts to move up to #2 then it'll have been a complete waste.

Jeudy to Denver could be a nice 1-2 combo with Sutton.

I think Jefferson is a much better fit for GB, mins just seems like another MVS/ESB.
Jeudy would be great at Denver as I think he will dominate playing half his time in the slot with Sutton being a great combo.
I like Dobbins in KC more than Swift but also see Steelers as a good spot.
Swift to Tampa, though unlikely, would be amazing to see with that Brady Godwin Evans.
Taylor I like to just about anywhere that isn't Tampa or Kansas (fav would be Ravens).
Lamb to anywhere for me, he's a beast.
Same for Reagor but Philly would be a dream (a healthy Carson and Reagor...).
Akers I don't know, anywhere that has a renowned RB coach to help him develop.
CEH to Kansas/Indy/Rams
Ruggs to just about anywhere, not sold on him as a wr1 but would be an amazing wr2 on any team.

I have a bunch of 1st the picks and none anywhere else so I won't bother going into the later guys except for Bryan Edwards, I don't care where he lands, if he falls far enough I'll trade back into the draft for him.
