This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Miles Sanders Draft Stock

Postby ThunderTung » Tue Mar 12, 2019 2:58 pm

Miles Sanders is probably my favorite RB coming out of the draft this year. I currently don't have a first round pick but have been working to land 1, hopefully 2.

Curious to get everyones opinion on where you think he'll be drafted. I know it will change league to league as it depends on who is picking and what they need. An IDP league will have a bigger player pool and may make his stock fall a bit.

Trying to land maybe a 4 or 5 overall to snag him, any chance he goes in the top 3 or falls to the back 5 of the first?

Totally depends on his landing spot and when he is drafted. If he ends up being a day 1 or 2 pick and goes to KC, Baltimore, Houston, SF, Philly, insert RB needy team with a nice rushing offense here, he could go in the top 3 picks depending on where others land.

If he is a day 3 pick for a team set at RB, he will be available in round 2 most likely.

Like mentioned above, landing spot is huge for him. He's my favorite RB in this class as well so I see your point on spending a top 5 pick on him.

Personally, as long as he doesn't get drafted to a place where he's buried in the depth chart, I'd spend 1.4/1.5 on him in a heartbeat. I don't think he moves out of the 1st round of rookie drafts unless he lands at an awful situation though.

Landing spot will play a huge role into where he goes in rookie/FA drafts. I still see him as a mid-late 1st round pick, possibly even early 2nd.

I dont see him going before pick 6. Metcalf, Harry, Jacobs, Brown for sure should go above him. Then Montgomery, Butler even. Might see Hockenson slip into the top 8.

I think you are safe at 5 but I think you'll even get him at 8. I dont think he slips past pick 8 in most leagues.

If he is taken in the top 4, pick 5 is getting a monster player at a major discount
