Graham to GB

Am I the only one that thinks this is a good deal for Jimmy? The Seahawks offense has been a complete mess for a while and Rodgers has never had a good TE to pair up with outside of Jermichael Finley

Re: Graham to GB
The line in GB seems to be a perpetual issue, so I suspect that the TE role has involved a lot of blocking. That was the main issue in Seattle as well. Not sure this changes much for Graham.

Seems counterproductive to release Jordy, who Rodgers has awesome chemistry with and sign a move TE

Agreed, very dumb imo. Wasting away years of a top 3 QB in the league. Jordy and ARod's chemistry is ridiculous and was a joy to watch.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 5:34 am Seems counterproductive to release Jordy, who Rodgers has awesome chemistry with and sign a move TE

Re: Graham to GB
I don't think it matters who is catching passes from Rodgers, just like it doesn't matter who catches them from Brady. I think the Pack were going to move on from Jordy regardless and don't see it as Graham replacing Jordy, but Graham replacing whoever their TE was last year. This is a big upgrade at an important position for the Pack.

Re: Graham to GB
I agree with this. His movement issues will limit his YAC opportunities, but he can still be an effective red zone weapon, especially without Jordy around. Graham got a healthy amount last year and so did Jordy, his last healthy year.Jason3123 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 5:26 pmI agree with several points but I can't get past the part where Graham looks awful moving around. He is much slower and looks stiff. Red zone work keeps him afloat and with Rodgers I guess he could easily get 10+ touchdowns. I think he's a sell to someone excited about the news if it benefits your roster.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 4:54 pm Great situation. Jordy is gone, Graham is coming in to be a red zone threat and a perhaps more. Come on, he's with A-Rod. Wilson is good, but nobody can sling it like A Rod. This is obviously a great thing for any Graham owner. Maybe A-Rod didn't use his TE's because they weren't that good? I'm sure he'll find a way to get the ball to a guy like Graham. They aren't bringing him there for window dressing.
I am someone who cares very little about tight ends though and I hate them all so take my advice with a grain of salt.
That said, I'll be willing to sell. I'm curious how they plug the other starting WR spot- FA or the draft?

Re: Graham to GB
GB drafting 3 tall WRs and making a run at Allen Robinson reinforces where the Packer offense is going, and why I don't care for the RBs. Thanks, Vcize- https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/pack ... in-chicagoJohnny Canuck wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 3:04 pmWell, something to consider is that GB produced a top 9 TE in 2015 (Richard Rodgers), the year Jordy was gone for injury. They still had Adams, Cobb, and James Jones all that year. I think we can all agree that the current version of Graham is still better than the 2015 Richard Rodgers.
With Jordy gone and Cobb not looking that great these days, it's def not out of the realm of possibility that Graham hits 10-12 TDs. He might not get a ton of yardage, but he'll still be a great weapon in the RZ, and Aaron Rodgers throws about 35 TDs a year, and they all can't be going to Adams...
He might be TD dependent, but Graham should be a top 5 TE again...like he's been for the past 4 out of 5 years...

Re: Graham to GB
The line is only an issue when there are injuries. If the starters are healthy and there is continuity, the Packers have had a top 5 or so pass blocking unit for years. The only reason people think the Packers have a garbage line is because it was terrible when Rodgers became qb, they've traditionally been mediocre at run blocking, and last year at times the Packers were down to playing their 6th and 7th string offensive tackles.ericanadian wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 3:50 am The line in GB seems to be a perpetual issue, so I suspect that the TE role has involved a lot of blocking. As for Packers not utilizing their tight ends, Jared Cook missed almost half the season with an ankle injury, and Martellus only played in 7 and obviously didn't put in a full day's work. You'd probably want to go back and look at a guy like Finley, whose best years were about 800 yards and 8 td's. Rodgers had a lot more weapons to distribute to back then, but I'd still say that's Graham's best case scenario.

Re: Graham to GB
Actually that comment was from in-season when Graham broke his thumb - ie I didnt want any owners to buy a TE for the stretch run unaware of that.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 7:47 amWhat does an overpay for Graham even look like?ArrylT wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 11:31 am http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000 ... mb-in-loss

As for what an overpay would look like - I suppose that depends on the league - but my guess is most people would consider a 1st to be an overpay in a typical 12 team ppr.
