Am I worried about the quality of targets thrown at Corey Davis and his ability to convert them efficiently? Yes. Am I worried about the volume of targets thrown at Corey Davis this year? Hell no, he might be among the league leaders in targets with Delanie out.

Corey Davis’ development

Postby Kleva1 » Mon Oct 15, 2018 8:23 am

Unfortunately I had to start him with Michael Thomas on a bye.

Anyone have a chance to watch him this year? Def does not feel like he’s living up to the playoff game vs NE hype from last year.

I know it’s early in his career but Tenn’s O looks awful. As an owner of Watkins, Parker, and former owner of Doctson I’m starting to get nervous.

The problem is not Corey Davis, the problem is the offense and Mariota. He is getting the high percentage of team targets, but the teams passing numbers are low as a whole. We can't predict if the offense will right itself, but we certainly can see from limited opportunity, that Davis has a skill set to put him into Elite WR1 territory.

Maybe the titans either don't know how to develop, or the just cant draft.

Mariota seems like poop
Henry not living up to his hype
Jonnu doing squat
Davis had one great game

The offense just isn't dynamic its very basic.

Couldn't see him play. Camera was constantly looking at Mariota get sacked in the backfield.

Its gotta be a mix of everything at this point. Coaching, playcalling, Mariota, the line, lack of a run game... I heard someone say TEN WR were all garbage after the game and I thought, that's not the case! But what proof do I have...? Mariota had 15 real pass attempts (11 sacks, ouch) and Davis caught one. His other 2 targets I saw, Mariota was not on the same page AT ALL. Disappointing

I still like Davis. Mariota though is regressing badly. Maybe the elbow is still affecting him so much that he shouldn't be playing. Right now the team would be better with Gabbert.

I like Davis too, but the offense he is in and the QB throwing him the ball are huge factors for the foreseeable future. Situations change and all, but even when Tenn has an offense that is humming, it was always smash mouth focusing on the RBs. Even back to the Eddie George days.

Davis looks good, but his production isn't going to be crazy because the offense overall is in a bad place.

TN Oline is the problem if Mariota cannot stay upright he cant pass. I wa sat the game yesterday total junk that oline severely overrated at this point.. See the running game no oline no yards .. they paid all this money and got squat from it. and yes the Titans cannot draft for chit..

Having a hard time holding onto him. My league is pretty shallow with 10-teams, 16-man rosters. I need production rather than potential. My starting WR are just good enough that I can let him sit for a while longer, but that TEN "offense" as a whole is atrocious and I'm having a harder and harder time justifying stashing *any* of them.

Hard to be productive when the offense gives up more sacks than completed passes.

It is the offense and Mariota's health. Where that goes, Corey goes, as with any good WR really. Mariota is playing hurt, the OC is terrible, they don't have an identity really. As a CD owner, I am not selling him for current value, because it is if not entirely, mostly dependent on the Titan's ineptness, and not on his ability or talent. I still like Mariota too... I think.
