As a big Perriman supporter and Ravens fan, I would agree. However, if they just sign Maclin then I think it's a good thing. People are going to think this really dampens Perriman's outlook and after his rise, maybe you can buy him with a little discount now.

I do agree that Maclin softens Perriman's upside for 2017 just from a volume perspective, but if Perriman can't beat out a 29 year old slot receiver or a soon to be 31 year old Mike Wallace for snaps in 2 WR sets then it's going to be pretty telling.

Long term, this shouldn't really effect Perriman. Mike Wallace is a free agent after this year Maclin signed just a 2 year deal which could really just be a 1 year deal. And let's face it, who were they going to trot out as their #3 WR. Chris Moore? Michael Campanaro? I mean they have one of the thinnest groups in the league, so just from a numbers perspective they were probably going to add to that position.

Also, Baltimore was 12th in the league in 11 personnel last year and with Pitta and Juszczyk gone I expect that number to rise.

Breshard Perriman is that ex-girlfriend that keeps showing up to your circle of friends with a different friend each time. You want to tell your friends "don't do it!!!" but since you know they won't listen you just sit back and wait for break up (silently saying I told you so even though you didn't every actually say it).
