This offense is producing at a high level.. what do you guys think the ratio is from pass to run? 50/50?

Not sure, but what makes it good to be a WR in LA is that all three of the starters almost never come off the field. Kupp, Cooks & Woods are all seeing over 96% of the offensive snaps. It's why I roster Josh Reynolds just in case any of the starters get hurt.

Agreed with that - and also further to say, I heard a breakdown quote on a podcast not too long ago from a DC in the league. He mentioned that part of what makes the offense so potent is that they "play poker" really well - which is to say, nothing in both Gurley nor the WR's pre-snap posturing changes between run and pass. Gurley still comes at the line like he's going to grab the rock on every play - it's part of what makes their Play Action so devastating.

You definitely want those receivers. They're going to be seeing run defense all day.

did people really say cooks would regress because he won't have a hof qb to carry him?

andrew siciliano tweeted out these stats for receiving yards this season.

cooks - 336 yards

patriots wrs combined - 230 yards.

Just wish he would start scoring a few TD's. Have him in a few leagues and a few BMl redrafts. He is playing really well but a TD streak would be nice.

This is a little much, but I could see him playing well enough this year to be in consideration as a late 1st round pick in start up drafts next year.
I think top 4 WR is fair. He's done nothing but produce, no matter the offense. He's in a stable position with a franchise QB, a stout run game, a brilliant head coach. He's produced regardless of system and QB and now he's locked up longterm. I won't fault people for having him behind OBJ, Nuk, Evans, etc... but he's got to be in the conversation.
Yeah I meant top 4 WR's. Which for me would also translate to top 4 assets because my top 4-5 are always receivers even though RB is king, i build around wrs.

This thread is like the twilight zone. The last 3 off seasons was all, "Cooks Overrated?" "Chris Hogan > Cooks?" "Trade Cooks for Kupp?"

I've been pretty bullish on him, here and everywhere else since he got in the league, and I'm glad you're all coming around.
All my teams suck. And I'm not in your league.

Top 10 dynasty WR. Personally, I put him at #7 behind OBJ, Evans, Thomas, Nuk, AB and Julio....could definitely see the argument for top 5 based on age compared to AB and Julio.

Think that's the highest I've seen him. Over Adams too? KA? Diggs? Green? Just thinking of a few guys i still have there with him

I have him over Adams pretty easily. My rankings look a good bit different, but I also have Cooks as a top 10 WR

Adams - Both he and Cooks are in their 5th season. Adams has 257/3015/29. Cooks has 299/4446/28 (counting rushing yards/TD). I don't even think it's that close honestly....and it's not like Adams put up 100/1400/12 last season or something to justify jumping ahead of Cooks. Adams has yet to hit 1000 yards in a season. Cooks is also almost 1 year younger.

KA - I think is a bit overrated. Great season last year, but has missed 26 games through 5+ seasons. Also not off to a great start, is 1.5 years older than Cooks, plays in a much worse offense and has a QB who may retire before KA's through his prime.

Diggs - Don't even have him in the top 10, and also just don't really see the argument for him over Cooks right now. Hasn't had a 1,000 yard season yet, nor has he had double digit TDs (like Adams). Has missed time each season (8 games total so far) while Cooks hasn't missed a game since his rookie year (6 missed total through one additional season). Also pretty much the same age as Cooks.

AJG - Is 30, and hasn't really been elite the last 2 seasons.

- So, Cooks obviously isn't the same as D-Jax and Watkins in McVay's offense. He's gonna finish as a top-10 WR this year fer shur, barring injury. Top 5 possibly.

- Kupp is going to be a top 15 WR fer shur, top 10 possibly. lol @ the people who ridiculously argued his rookie year was somehow his ceiling. That never made any sense at all.

- Woods is darn good too, of course. Might be a salary-cap casualty in '19-'21, though. This Rams roster is becoming very expensive.

- And Gurley's in this offense, too? This just isn't fair for opposing defenses.

- Now that it seems confirmed Goff is ascending from the game-manager he was last year to a true star QB this year, Cooks can be a career fantasy WR1 with the Rams and Kupp a career fantasy WR2.

Yep I heard that argument a lot this offseason.
that means there are a lot of uninformed people in this world.

cooks was the missing piece of the rams offense. they had to settle for watkins last season but when they had the chance to get cooks they didn't let the asking price stop them.

Watkins is a very talented receiver (main issue was always injuries prior to last season)...still puzzles me how he didn't work better in that offense.
