Does Collins still get a point when people most likely benched him due to his poor play? I'm curious how many Collins owners had him in their starting lineups last week. Being hurt on your bench or just being on the bench are the same thing.Johnny Canuck wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 12:06 pmSo now it'd be:Johnny Canuck wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 1:45 amAnd how exactly did Mixon win week 2 vs Collins?
Week 2 was an OBVIOUS tie. Pretty difficult to get much closer than 87-90 total yards, and 4.0 ypc - 3.9 ypc.
So it’d be:
Mixon 1
Collins 0
Mixon 1
Collins 1
Beast wanted to keep score so just didn't want him to miss these weeks...staying healthy is part of the equation right? lol
A) I don't think he's been playing bad. Opportunities have been limited, that's Collins only issue.Goddard wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 1:48 pmDoes Collins still get a point when people most likely benched him due to his poor play? His first two weeks, he only had 16 carries for 48 yards. The 4 catches for 61 yards and the TD helped, but he still only had 19 ppr points those two weeks. I wouldn't call that good and wouldn't be surprised if many owners benched him because of it. Obviously not everyone has better options on their bench so maybe some were forced to start him, but he was benched in a lot of the leagues I play in.lukkynumber13 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 2:25 pm I started Collins. I think a lot of his owners started him last week. Not sure why you think he’s been playing badly?
A) He wasn't playing that well and even if he was, opportunity is a huge part of it.Johnny Canuck wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 2:31 pmA) I don't think he's been playing bad. B) You're really going too far down the rabbit hole...this is a pretty fun more fantasy pts per week contest, nothing more (0.5 pt seems the most fair).
If you want to go nuts with it, fine, but it kinda takes the fun out of the whole thing.
I could just as easily say: I wonder how many leagues Mixon wasn't started in week 1 because teams were flush at RB and had "better" options like: Barkley, Gurley, Zeke, DJ, Howard, McCaff, etc (all of whom Mixon outscored but if Mixon was on the bench that doesn't matter).
OR maybe he got benched in that first week because some owners wanted to see it first.
The IFs could on and on, they're far too league specific.
Let's just keep it light shall we.
No worries, definitely happens to us all. Sarcasm especially is difficult to discern in person, let alone in writing.Johnny Canuck wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 3:10 pm That's a fair point, opportunity is a big part of the equation.
I may of just read it wrong. It can be difficult to discern tone in this medium from time to time. Sorry for the false interpretation.
The issue with that is I'll start to take Gio serious when the Bengals do. But it's been obvious over the last 4 yrs that they don't rate him even if his talent demands it, they persisted with Jeremy Freaking Hill rather than play Gio in a significant amount of snaps. Once Mixon is back I'd expect him to take back over the starting role with at least 65% of the rbbc workload whether anyone thinks Gio is just as good/better than Mixon.maxhyde wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 3:25 pm Why are we still talking about Collins/Mixon?
The more obvious question is after Gio just put up a very solid outing in the same offense against a very solid run defense in CAR. Is Mixon even better than Gio? This is really all that matters. He put up 20pts on 17 touches which I would take from any non-top 5 RB
People keep having differing opinions on Gio. Some say he's an average talent at best and that Mixon is only getting the workload he is because he has no competition. And then others claim he's better than Mixon.maxhyde wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 3:25 pm Why are we still talking about Collins/Mixon?
