This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

RB and WR Trade Suggestions

Postby Adam_172 » Sat Sep 01, 2018 7:16 am

I’ve recently traded for Gurley and Kelce and although I’ve gotten 2 studs I’ve lost JuJu, Ingram, Duke Johnson, Penny and John Ross meaning that my depth is pretty poor.

I currently have 5 TE’s, all of who I think hold some value.

Who could I package, maybe a TE and either Alshon or picks, for an upgrade at either RB or WR?
TEAM 1
Dynasty PPR 1QB (12 Team League)

QB - Murray, Fields, Pickett, Howell.
RB - Gibbs, R. White, Swift, Javonte Williams, Charbonnet, Allegier, Tank Bigsby, Penny.
WR - Nacua, Dell, Hollywood, Jameson Williams, Burks, Mooney, Atwell, Melton, Phillips, Washington, Lazard.
TE - Ferguson, Mayer, Knox.
DEF - Bills, Vikings.

Rookie Picks: 1.02, 2.02, 3.02, 4.02 and 5.02.

TEAM 2
Dynasty PPR - SuperFlex and TE Prem. (16 teams)

QB - Prescott, Pickett, Ridder, Mariota, Mullins, Willis.
RB - Walker III, R. White, Montgomery, Singletary, R. Jones, Mack, Hull, Sermon.
WR - Adams, Higgins, Watson, Meyers, Gabe Davis, W. Robinson, Dotson, Raymond, ARob.
TE - McBride, H. Henry, B. Jordan, Bates, B. Hopkins.

Rookie Picks: 2.14 and 3.14.

Njoku for a guy like Larry fitz straight up may not be a bad idea for your team to win it all this year. I think your RB depth is just fine with Cohen to fill in on bye weeks. WAtson/Andrews/Thomas all carry little to no value for starting caliber players.

That’s not a bad suggestion. I think I could get a significant return for Njoku and maybe a borderline WR1 if I + Jeffrey. Who do you think I could target as a package?

i would just try to send Njoku for Fitz as suggested...perhaps Tate/Marvin Jones, Baldwin (his value is down)
it may not be the time to trade Jeffery...it will really depend on the other owner's team
but by adding Jeffery...perhaps you could get players like Thielen, Cooks, Arob, Hilton....
good luck
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Stafford
DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Godwin, McLaurin, Callaway, DPJ, Robby Anderson, Schwartz, Pierce, Wan'Dale, Doubs
Kelce, Andrews, Jacob Harris

I love Fitz but he's 35 now and has a rookie QB with a trashy offensive line. I'd target a younger WR if I'm sending away a young TE1, someone like Marvin Jones.

Baldwin/Tate are two I would target with a straight up swap. Baldwin’s knee and Golloday cutting into Tate’s work load. I’d stay clear of Fitz until you knew for sure you were making a playoff run

Do you guys think Njoku for Baldwin and/or Njoku + Jeffrey for ARob/Diggs/Hilton then?

I wouldn't move Njoku with those TEs. You aren't as deep as you think. After Kelce and Njoku, nothing else carries much value.

Baldwin scares me with his statement that he won't be 100% all season. He's also 30 in 3 weeks and will possibly be declining soon. Njoku + Jeffery for Diggs would be my shot. TY or Arob aren't worth it for IMO.

I think Watson has value for maybe 1 - 2 more seasons. Andrews has had positive reviews and should get a shot in BAL and won’t Thomas be seeing the field a lot especially as Olsen will be retiring soon?

Yeah I hear that, he’s really a win now kind of guy to trade so wouldn’t mind someone a bit younger. I’m not a massive fan of Diggs though, not even his own team’s WR1. You think he’ll improve further under Cousins?

I think so, yes. Cousins is a big upgrade for him but it's all about chemistry. So far in the small small sample size it hasn't looked great for Thielen though, which bodes well for Diggs. I'm also a big fan of Diggs, I think he has massive potential and with Cousins he has the chance to realize it fully now.

i own Diggs and Njoku/Jeffery would not come close to getting him from me...that is why i did not mention his name...
i probably wouldn't even counter that offer

You have two TE's of any value. Cut those other three as they're just taking up roster spots. Maybe someone will give you a late round draft pick next year to take them off your hands..? If you get enough 4th round picks you can move them for a 3rd later on. Or enough 3's to get a 2 later... etc.

Honestly I think you should hold Njoku. You have 4 of the best at their position but your WR fall of fast and hard. I think you should wait a little bit to see what Moore and Mathews do this season. If Moore plays well and Jeffery comes back by week 3. Then you probably are holding your own, and I would consider trading for a WR. Probably keeping Jeffery. If you trade Jeffery and njoku for a solid WR. You will probably be starting Watson/Blount weekly. And if you have 1 injury it would be both. After that bye weeks, I have no idea who you would start.
