Re: Anyone nervous owning K Hunt?
If you take away his 1st three games and leave his 1 carry game it extrapolates to rb7 in ppr I believe. If Zeke and DJ are healthy he drops to RB9. I don’t see much reason to think he drops lower. He has a little upside baked into RB9 it seems.
I think making the argument that it was all the oline 1st 3 games is somewhat relevant but do you think Ware puts up the exact same numbers as Hunt? I doubt it. So I don’t think he just gets uprooted or into a 60/40 time share. It’s not really the Andy Reid way

The main reason I’m worried would just be consensus. Are we all normally that torn as a forum over a top 5-10 rb? I mean, apart from Rawls

Re: Anyone nervous owning K Hunt?
I guess I can somewhat understand the concerns people have, even if I don't agree with it. The part I'm surprised about is that it's currently 21-21.SteveMaddensShoes wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 4:23 pmThe main reason I’m worried would just be consensus. Re: Anyone nervous owning K Hunt?
I think it depends on what we are talking about when we say concerned. Concerned if he is a top 12 Rb1 type? Not really concerned there. Now if you were expecting a top 5 Rb season, then yea I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Wouldn’t really call it a concern though. Now if you made a power move trading away Zeke to get Hunt expecting by no dip in production, yea then I would be concerned.

Does anyone know or know how to find if broken tackles are a year after year high probability? Or elusiveness/juke rate/etc?Krypto_King wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 4:56 pm we all know it was the OLine that led the league in broken tackles

Re: Anyone nervous owning K Hunt?
My "nervousness" isn't about Hunt exclusively. I'm worried about the entire offense at the hands of an untested QB.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex
League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def
League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

Its all encompassing in why some feel nervous. Its simply another reason and i dont blame you.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 5:32 pm My "nervousness" isn't about Hunt exclusively. I'm worried about the entire offense at the hands of an untested QB.

Re: Anyone nervous owning K Hunt?
I too would like to know, I would assume it would be a trait an RB has so yes you could predict he will be doing well in that column again but you never know. Hunt could have just been really lucky and tacklers fell off him at an alarming rate lol, I think Jeremy Hill had a good broken tackle rate his rookie year then collapsed so there's that....SteveMaddensShoes wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 5:02 pmDoes anyone know or know how to find if broken tackles are a year after year high probability? The cool thing is we all get to find out...I think he is the, real deal....its off-topic but I have a strange feeling about DJDJB wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 9:12 pmYup i share the same feeling. I mean if Fournette was on KC with the Andy Reid play calling and Hunt on Jax would they still be valued where they are at? Not a chance. Fournette would be right up there with top RB and Hunt well.... im not sure.
I just dont know if Hunt really is a top 5 -7 back talent where he is about ranked on most sites.

Re: Anyone nervous owning K Hunt?
I’m nervous ha ha. NO
Re: Anyone nervous owning K Hunt?
If you've owned Hunt from the beginning (IE you drafted him) you should not be worried - because even if he is NOT say a top 6 RB he'll at least have a solid floor and your original cost was likely baked into that and quite reasonable to have spent.
However if you paid more down the road, expecting to get a locked and loaded top 5 RB, then I can quite understand feeling some nerves. IE if say you traded D. Freeman and a 1st, or a Davante Adams straight up.

Re: Anyone nervous owning K Hunt?
Hunt has his own redeeming qualities, but the level of play from KC's offensive line should not be understated.Krypto_King wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 4:56 pm we all know it was the OLine that led the league in broken tackles
They were #1 in Football Outsider's Adjusted Line Yards for most of the first half of the season. They finished 12th in that stat after regressing hard. At one point, KC was averaging around 6-7 adjusted line yards, which is historically good. They finished with 4.14.
Re: Anyone nervous owning K Hunt?
We've got lots of worries ( R. Anderson suspension, Shady , Mahomes inexperience ) but lucky for us fretting over a KHunt issue isn't one of them.

Re: Anyone nervous owning K Hunt?
advanced stats like this for football are just not anything I would put stock into at this time. There are sooo many variables when you have 22 different players on the field that change nearly every play and for only 16 games per year. Not to mention how health varies week to week and even down to down for any of those players. I understand smart people trying to make it like baseball but it's just not and so while I will not completely discount these stats I am still going to weight an athletic profile and my own eyes much heavier.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Thu Aug 16, 2018 8:42 amHunt has his own redeeming qualities, but the level of play from KC's offensive line should not be understated.Krypto_King wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 4:56 pm we all know it was the OLine that led the league in broken tackles

As for real thoughts on Hunt, he's a running back so of course I am nervous but I am no more nervous about him than I am any running back in the league and generally less so.
