DT Trade help

Hey guys,

Buddy and I have been going at it for a week straight trying to agree on value for DT. He is rebuilding after taking over an orphaned team and I am competing. Having recently traded away Julio for M. Gordon, Baldwin & 2nd I would like to add another WR.

I have offered Docston, Powell & 2x 2nds for DT

He is holding firm at Williams & First which I feel is a total overpay.

Whats the going rate for DT??

Assuming this is for your team in sig? With Ryan / Fournette / Gordon / Ingram / Miller / Penny / Hopkins / AJG / Baldwin / Alshon / Gronk, a couple thoughts:
Not sure you really need DT.[/list]

• I wouldn't put much value in M. Williams since he's buried on your depth chart and likely plays 3rd or 4th fiddle for the Chargers.

• Can you center a trade around your veteran RB depth like Ingram or Miller?

• DT is a strong buy for me this off-season - he's lost weight and completely changed his diet & workout regimen - he's finally healthy & he'll have much improved QB play from the past few year.

• What about a compromise of Doctson & 1st?

• Ultimately, I'd be motivated to push this across the goalline. Your 1st should be in the 1.08 - 1.12 range, and I think DT is worth a mid-first that's a year-out.

I know what you mean about Williams but I get the feeling that a year or two away im going to regret moving him.

As he is rebuilding he isnt at all interested in vets. He only wants Fournette, Penny or Gordon for RB's. Cheers!

DT still put up over 200 pts in my ppr league last season. He has been playing with atrocious QB the last few years. Though he is on the decline bc of age, I definitely seeing him having a bounce back year. I think he is undervalued by most people. I'm a DT owner and I would instant decline your offer. I don't think M.Williams + 1st is an over pay. You have a good team so it's going to be a late first anyways, and not a big M.Williams fan. I value productive players over draft picks unless I'm guaranteed to get a stud. He's one of those aging stars in dynasty where he will still put up 200+ points for the next 3-4 years.

I think this is where the problem is... previous posts asking what the value of DT are say that he is worth a late first or a couple 2nds... Im offering 2 players and 2x 2nds?

Williams and a late 1st seems fair to me. If anything, I'd try to negotiate it to Williams and the two 2nds that you have and hope that gets it done. The initial offer wouldn't really be close for me and I would reject it whether I'm rebuilding or not.

That was my thought, I actually like this trade from both sides just fine.
