Hopefully this is the right forum - players vs players.
One team is clearly deeper, but in this league, we only start 7 players: QB, RB, WR, WR, TE, RB/WR, RB/WR. PPR, standard otherwise. (It's a hybrid type of dynasty in which each owner has built up well over the past couple years, not a 4-team redraft.)
Team 1
Brady, Watson
Gurley, D. Johnson, Cook, Hyde, Martin, Penny
Green, Parker, C. Davis
Ertz, Engram
Team 2
Wentz, Garoppolo
Zeke, Gordon, Duke Johnson
Julio, K. Allen, Diggs, M. Jones
Howard, Gesicki

Tough cause Team 1's team has a weak WR2 but Give me Gurley/DJ/Cook trio. All three of them are 1st round redraft picks.
Re: Which core is stronger for this year
Team 1, but it has nothing to do with RB/WR.
Gurley/Johnson/Cook/Green/Davis and Zeke/Gordon/Julio/Allen/Diggs are pretty equal and I could argue either way.
Brady/Ertz with the huge upside of Watson give a major edge for this year.

The difference in tight end is what does it for me. Give me Team 1 and Ertz
