Jordan Howard or Sony Michel

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Jordan Howard or Sony Michel

Postby Titans95 » Sun Jul 22, 2018 9:14 am

For team 1 in sig

At this point I'm just nitpicking my team I feel like but I've got some major concerns over Jordan Howard's future value. I can easily see him producing similar stats to last year and his value plummeting heading into next season. I was thinking of seeing if the Michel owner would be interested in doing a straight up swap. I've got Sony at my 1.03 in this year's draft so essentially I'm valuing Howard at 1.03 even if you disagree with Sony. My main concern with the trade is I feel like I'm going to have too many rookies/unproven guys with Cook/Mixon/Penny/Guice so if I lose the solid Vet is Jordan Howard I could potentially struggle this season if the rookies don't pan out

I feel the same as you, have Sony at 1.03 and have concerns with Howard. Still I think Howard should have more value. I’d start with offering Howard for Sony+.

I value Howard exactly at 1.03. If Michel is your guy there, I say get him.

I still value Howard a little higher than Michel but it’s close enough that if you want Michel that bad, go ahead and get him.

I own Sony in several leagues but I like Howard, hes the thumper on a young up and coming offense. Every body is concerned with Howard but why? You really think Cohen and his 5’6” 180 lbs is going to threaten Howard for carries?? I dont think so. Cohen will be Nagys Tyreek like toy. Howard will have 250+ carries... I see 270/1100/8... I love Sony but he will never carry it that many times. If somebody offered me Howard for my Sony in any league Im running to hit accept. Howard is only a few months okder and has 2 productive years under his belt.

I'm a big Sony fan, I agree with the others, if he is your guy I'd make the trade. But, I do think Howard's value is higher. I would also start with Howard for Sony+. See what you can get. I've been trying to get Sony in all my leagues and can't get it done. So if you can, I would.

I own both and value Howard higher so I would start out by asking for Michel +

What do you all think the + should be in future picks? I'm hesitant that I'll get a + because the Sony owner drafted him 1.03 overall so clearly he values him high and since I'm the one approaching him.

I’d ask for a 2nd. If he was picking early, it may be too much but I’d give it a shot and see if he takes or counters.

Think you should be keeping Howard over Sony if you can’t get anything added

I know it don't mean much but Bears coach Matt Nagy is confident Jordan Howard can be an every-down player , I don't really see him taking 3rd downs from Cohen but he should catch the normal amount of passes 30-40..

I do love Howard though and think he has a real good year that offence was a mess last year I watched most of Howards carries and he faced 12 in the box every down lol , But really I think he has a lot more room to run this year with ARob , Burton , Gabriel , White and Mitch should be better , tbh I could see Chi start moving the way LARs did with Goff sucking his first year then becoming a very good QB.

So give me the young 2 down back that showed he can be a top 10 RB with the sprinkles of catches in there over the unknown rookie on NE that uses more than 3 RBs all the time.

Howard and round 2 for Sony and round 1

Even that I don't love. Howard will get his 250-300 carries. Sony who knows in NE.

You should probably just keep Howard period. I’m not gambling with a player whose first two season were an RB1

My concern is he was the RB14 last year in ppr formats. With Cohen taking even more snaps Howard's yardage and TD's are going to havent to drastically improve to get back into the RB1 range
