for
Dak + Ebron + '19 1st (was pick 16 this year & getting OBJ back)

I was considering countering to replace DT with McKinnon. Thoughts? I don't pick til the end of the 4th round this season, but have all my picks next year.

UPDATE: He asked what I’d want to include Dak for DT or McKinnon and didn’t respond to me suggesting Keenum + 1st for DT.

What pick would balance a Dak for McKinnon trade?

Is Dak + Woods + 1st for DT + McKinnon reasonable or too much in someone’s favor?

Sorry for the confusion... I ended up winning so I was pick 16 in 2018 and thanks to Gurley I managed it with OBJ hurt. I'll have him back this season so my pick should be late again (I'd hope).

Minimally if this is a trade you are considering, I'd remove Dak and put in Keenum or ideally Bradford in their place.

that deal isnt terrible but i also think your proposition likely doesnt appeal to him as hes willing to part with DT who is a WR and is older and you wanna ask for a young RB instead.

i dont hate the deal but i think you should be able to get DT for keenum + the first and keep dak (your qbs behind jimmy are a mess of injury problems and instability.)

I disagree. In a 16-team league with 25 player rosters, there’s a natural shortage of QBs so any starters can hold value. Foles was starting at end of season and McCarron was expected to potentially start somewhere. He ignored the Keenum suggestion.

With 400 players owned you have to stockpile talent, because waivers are so thin. Every roster spot is that much more valuable in a deep league.

That's why it makes no sense to waste 20% of your bench on middling qb options in a start 1 league. You miss out on loading up on the positions that win you leagues.

That’s exactly why I have the extra QBs. The QB shortage is why we’re discussing being able to get McKinnon and/or DT using a QB. I used later picks or FA pickups to increase a natural position shortage due to # teams and roster size. I grabbed Foles because he was starting and leaving him a FA would give my finals opponent another option. I grabbed AJ McCarron because he was expected to start this season. The purpose of this thread was to seek help finding a trade, not explain supply and demand. If there were decent FA options better I’d have them. I’ll probably have fewer QBs after we cut non-keepers and draft this year (unless some rookie QBs fall and I add them too for trade options cause someone will be short)... especially if I find a way to acquire McKinnon and/or DT using some of these QBs I supposedly shouldn’t have. Then I can work on trying to repeat with my strategy you say doesn’t work.

Any strategy can work. Praise be to Todd Gurley and that magical playoff run.

But if the QB thirst was as real as you're saying it is, you wouldn't be having to add a 1st on top of Dak to get DT.
