Rookie IDP "sleepers"

Postby IR1 » Thu May 31, 2018 5:24 am

Draft is tonight. Based on last years draft, I expect Roquan and Edmunds to go in the first with maybe a couple others. What are some names you might look at as your number mid tier idp's? 10 team league and I usually don't go after defensive players until late 2nd at the earliest.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure I'd call any of these sleepers but I've been able to acquire Ronnie Harrison, Rasheem Greene, and Darius Leonard at GREAT value in IDP drafts thus far. Harrison may take a while to get snaps behind Gipson and Church but he's certainly a top 3 talent in this draft class. Green should get snaps out of the gate with Bennett gone and Clark their only DE of note besides Jordan. Ourlads already has him plugged in as the starter. Leonard is sneaky and seems to slide as he's not the most talented LB but has landed in a great spot. He is Lukkynumber13's LB 2 in this class I believe. Edmunds has been a value in a few leagues for me as well and COULD find himself playing on the line filling Shazier's role a bit with a DB designation. Cheat code.

Fred Warner and Rashaan Evans both going late. Ignore all DLs, in my humble opinion.

Be aware that Derwin James will most likely play free safety for the Chargers this year.

Kenny Young basically free and has a 50% chance to start next to Mosley.

Terrell Edmunds

This kid has stud potential out of the safety position. I expect him to drop into ILB often on passing downs. His brother gets all the praise, which is deserved, but Terrell runs great and brings a lot of wood. Incredible quickness with huge hands. Steelers drafted him round 1. They have to project him as a safety given his skill set and size.

He is close to 220 LBS with sub 4.5 speed and can jump out of the stadium with a 41.5 vertical.
