Doctson for pick

Postby Chuck_The_Deuce » Thu May 17, 2018 4:41 pm

Would you move Doctson for 2.09? Team sig below. My team is short on depth. My current rookie picks of note are 2.02 and 3.10. I'm thinking I could potentially get two guys in the second or try to move into the 1st. Realistically those two picks MIGHT get me one of the QBs and either a "end of top 10" rb or one of the Wrs. Any advice?

I am biased, because I own a couple shares, but I think he proved last year that the coaches want to get him involved and he is and red zone threat. If Reed stays off the field, which is probable, I think he can put up Crabtree type numbers 75/1100/11 high end and like 60/850/7 on the low end...with what you have starting at WR that's not that bad.

I’m not a fan of Doctson. He has a terrible catch rate (44% in 2017) and I don’t think he can separate. I don’t think that’s the type of WR that is going to succeed w/ Alex Smith.

2.09 is too low for Doctson, all the halfway decent RBs will be gone and you reset the clock on WR development by getting a rookie who will be outproduced for at least 2 years by Doctson, not too mention doctson will have more talent than anyone left at 2.09

I'm pretty low on him at this point, but I'd still keep him over the pick.

Whenever I start to doubt myself on Doctson I just think he can't be worse than Marvin Jones and Jones is balling. I don't know if that makes any sense but that's what I tell myself.

You're right...it doesn't make any sense. Jones is a much better route runew and far superior hands. If can ever beat press coverage he would be higher than the wr12 he was last year

Doctson has shown little to nothing but it is year 3. Hold unless it's 2.04 or better.

Doctson is worth a high to mid 2nd (at worst). As stated earlier, all you're doing at 2.09 is resetting with a lesser talent you have to hold for at least 2 years to develop.
