XDL Rookie Draft 2018

Hey there, I know many of you follow along annually with the GEDL Early Rookie Draft. I'm the Chesapeake Bay Barracudas in that league, and our early draft is always a blast! GEDL is truly a unique animal.

My longtime league, XDL is scheduled to begin our rookie draft at 8 am on Sunday. An annual staple of our league is the draft kicking off basically at the completion of the NFL draft.

I'm going to post this now because we've had a flurry of trade activity leading up to the draft, and we may very well start things a bit early sometime tomorrow after the completion of the NFL draft. If we do begin early, the draft will have no clock until our official start time, Sunday morning.

I'm the commish, and owner of the Prince William Pit Bulls. Happy to have you follow along if you'd like.

Our draft is 4 rounds, rookie only. Hopefully the 2018 XDL Draft helps provide some follow up reference to our GEDL draft a couple weeks ago, in anticipation of your own rookie drafts.

Our draft is officially underway. No clock until our actual start time of 8AM tomorrow morning. 24 hour clock after that point.

Yeah man, glad to!

We had some wild trades leading up to this thing. Fun to see that stuff in the transaction log. I mean, Barkely sure was coveted.

Heh the 1st six picks here, and in my draft are almost identical at least in the sense that it was RBx6.

FWIW, Desert Roamers is a phenomenal name & logo looks awesome ... as for the draft, I’d do cartwheels if Kirk is drafted in front of Moore in my league.

Question: Why was the Philadelphia Soul / Ramstein River Hawks trade on April 14th reversed?

I believe another player was supposed to be in the mix but left out of the deal that was accepted accidentally. Due to the confusion they reversed the deal amongst themselves.

Um, why the heck did that team use their 1st on Baker Mayfield? I believe this is a 1QB league and that team has Aaron Rodgers, Jared Goff, and Matt Ryan. That is the most head scratching selection I've seen in a while.

It was a bizarre pick for a lot of reasons.

Also pretty crazy to see Kerryon fall all the way to the 2nd round.
