C Sutton this year's Juju?

Postby The Red Rooster » Sun Apr 22, 2018 10:14 am

Just asking the question as Juju was highly regarded prior to his final season at USC and then slipped down fantasy draft boards after a down final season. Sutton seems to have followed a similar trend after a very down final college season. I don't break down film so, I pose this question to all of you as he may be a nice little steal for a dynasty teams this year.

Sutton is stiff and wins with just size. Reminds me of James Hardy, Michael Floyd, Davante Parker......

He is Alshon Jeffery, who also had a down final year (but still early draft entree, unlike Courtland), got drafted in the mid 2nd round, and was nowhere near a top pick in rookie drafts.

I think Juju fell a lot further than Sutton will just because there aren't as many climbers, yet, this season.
However, with the plethora of RBs this season, WRs in general will probably drop further than usual.

I like Suttons fiery attitude. He obviously needs to keep it in check so he doesnt take himself out of ball games. But you can tell he loves the game, unlike the questions swirling around ESB right now. Sutton could develop into an Alshon Jeffery type.

Alshon was a far, far superior prospect. He slipped because of weight and dedication questions.

I wasnt comparing prospect to prospect. I think Sutton could develop into an Alshon type.

I don’t think he’s exactly falling. He’s always been a small school high upside project. More risk, but high reward

To me, they seem almost exactly the same. Same size, same athleticism, Jeffery just produced a very slight bit more in college. Why do u think Jeffery is much better?

This is probably due to more RBs going early - I project the first 7 picks in my draft next week to all be RBs - that has not happened in a long time.

Ridley, Sutton -- they won't drop to the 7th or 8th WR taken, like JuJu was last year. Their draft slot may be similar, though, due to the resurgence of the fantasy RB.
