I was thinking Tavon to the Pats as well...he would make so much sense for them in that Welker/Edelman role. I actually wouldn't bet against this happening. Tavon to the Cards would be the next best thing.
Except Edelman is built a LOT better than Austin for that role. Straight line he's slower than Austin but he's more agile, 3" taller and 20-25lbs heavier. Edelman is also a more precise route runner from what I've seen.

Austin really needs to be moved all over the field at his size, I think he'd get destroyed playing purely in the slot. However, if he can consistently get 8-10 touches/game rushing and receiving He's someone I'll possibly buy in-season before he becomes a FA.

Not that many (if any) people care but it seems as though Tavon Austin will be remaining a Ram.

Yes! Although allegedly there will be a "competition". Tavon however is incapable of coming out on the winning side of a battle like that. Overdrafted, and overpaid special teamer/gadget player.

I recently took a flier on him hoping he would land with a new team who could work with him a little better.
Oh well.

Sometimes I wonder if Jeff Fisher is the one responsible for his lack of development.
