To you see Ivory 2.0?

Jets has a nice run when they had Marshall and Decker but our offense is a dumpster fire

As a Jets fan MEH
Crowell = Ivory 2.0 ?? :crazy:

Crow is a more than capable receiver, he caught 40 passes 2 seasons ago and has 96 career receptions in his 4 seasons. He's got 21 career rushing TDs. He's 5'11" and 190 lbs. And also has a very high recruit pedigree.
Ivory has been in the league for 8 seasons. He has 94 career receptions and 28 career rushing TDs, and is 6'0" and 222 lbs.

Crowell is 5'11/225. He's actually very similar to Ivory and that's not an insult. Both are limited but big-bodied thumpers who can carry the load for you, albeit lacking any electric dynamism.

He's also been healthier than Ivory and a very durable RB. He's a nice RB3 with upside this year, imo

Very fair point. Crowell and Ivory are definitely opposites in regards to health.

The Jets pretty much stink every year, still manage to have an ok running game and still win a few games. This signing fits their m.o. and is a perfect fit. He's a major improvement over last season and he's more like the fully loaded model rather than the base model (Ivory) rather than 2.0. I'm never a fan of Jets players for fantasy purposes so I'm not buying even if the signing made perfect sense. This really just took away a landing spot for Jeremy Hill.

I agree. Not the best case but not the worst either. Given his production lately the best case (starter on a good offense) was very unlikely anyway.

Own Crowell and I'm a Jets fan, so I'm excited to see how this plays out. That said, I'm not expecting a ton. Best case scenario is middle tier RB2 numbers...

I think it might turn into an ugly committee (on a middle of the pack or even slightly below average offense) with Crow getting the most snaps, Powell dominating 3rd downs (I know many think McGuire will get this role, but I think having Powell in on 3rd downs will be less of a tell), and McGuire getting sprinkled in a bit. Also, as a fan, I was hoping we would draft a RB in this deep class.

For the record, I believe in Crow and think he could have been great in a potent offense. Jets are not that...

It's basically a one year deal. The Jets have options with a bit of a cap hit if they cut him next year.

Crowell believer but realistically only looking for rb 2 numbers- would still move him for a second if I didn’t the depth

You're missing the guy that's going to be catching all the balls out of the backfield when they're playing from behind every game: Powell.

I do not own crowell but this isnt a bad landing spot he will be the lead back and could easily see crow rushing for thousand yards and 8-10 tds

Jets got him for a really good deal and he is more than capable of being an every down back. I would buy on him.

He's a buy for sure if you can get him and struggling for RB depth! Forte and Powell were both usable for fantasy last year when healthy (and actually Maguire was when forte was hurt). I see the jets being slightly better this year, but not by much, and I see them leaning on crow a lot.

Just got him for a mid 2nd. I like the fact he hasn't missed time, too. Stays on the field, at least up to now he has.
