Breakout Age or College Dominator?

Obviously the more data we have to analyze the better decisions we can make and would ultimately like our prospects to have both high college dominator ratings as well as young breakout ages - but is there one that is more important than the other? I mean, if you have a 24 year old Senior dominating touches in their offense against much younger and much less developed CBs is that as impressive as someone who "broke out" at 18?

Thoughts? If this has been discussed elsewhere and someone has a link handy that'll work too. Just thought this would be a good thread to discuss.

So, just started my WR scouting (nope, not finished with my RB scouting but I needed a break) and I came across Deontay Burnett, WR - USC. He's small at 5'11" 175 but he posted a 30.6% College Dominator and his breakout age is 19.9. He had 86 receptions for 1114 yards and 9 TDs in '17 and caught 12 passes for 139 yards against Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl.

I haven't heard much about him until today and when I saw his numbers I went and watched his tape vs Ohio State and I was impressed with his hands and his route running.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the guy?

In Treadwell's case, I'd understand that urge to sell.

This is exactly who I have compared Kirk too (I'm also a HUGE A&M Fan...but thats besides the point). I really do see Kirk thriving in the slot type role in the NFL, great hands and good speed. I'm really hoping Kirk falls to me in my rookie draft!!!

In today's fun news, my league ALWAYS makes a heavy RB run and with the 2017 class doing so well I out the gate the 2018 RB hype I'm expecting more of the same

I have the 1.6 pick, and previously greatly needed an RB and was fearful I'd have the take the 6th best RB there

Made some moves and balanced out my team. I think there's a good chance Sutton makes it the 1.6 and I can take him there.

What are the thoughts on hand size? Is there a threshold beneath which should be considered a red flag?

I haven't seen much mentioned about Dante Pettis around here. Daniel Jeremiah is pretty high on him as he had him in his Top 50 players list, and Lance Zierlein gave him a much higher grade than most WR's in this class on NFL.com.

Personally I like him quite a bit from what I've seen! Explosive target who can do damage vertically, who combines a nice pair of hands with what looks like a much more developed route tree than most peers. Not Will Fuller fast, but quick enough going over the top (not too shabby in the underneath and intermediate stuff) and in the return game, speaking of which he is special once the ball is in his hands and he's in the open field (broke DJax's career NCAA punt return for TD record with 9). He's got a bit of a thin frame, but he seems to be able to track and adjust to the football well, and is nice at stacking DB's.

I'm thinking a solid combine should get him a day 2 (round 3?) pick, and if he blows the combine up he may slip into the second round, even.

Thoughts? Anyone else a fan?
