Would you sell Kamara for Dalvin Cook + 2018 early 2nd & 2019 2nd round picks? I have nothing to play for this year; The team trading for Kamara is still in it. Or do you value Kamara more/hold for more this offseason.
Thanks for the thoughts/advice.

Re: Kamara value
This is a tough call. I personally like Dalvin Cook as a 3 down workhorse RB a lot more than Kamara. Although, Cook has had some injury concerns dating back to college, so there is some risk there. Kamara will be a great 3rd down back but I question his ability to carry the ball 20+ times year in and year out.Natepuppy11 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 6:08 am 12 team PPR

Also worth mentioning, the Saints O-line is ridiculous, if you swap Kamara with Cook, McCaffrey or even Marlon Mack I think all three of those players would look better than they do on their current teams and Cook looked really good. Don't get me wrong, I think Kamara is a great talent and his balance is phenomenal. I think I would seriously consider trading Kamara for Cook and 2 2nds for him now and in 3 years be pretty happy with that trade. I own Cook and I wouldn't trade him for Kamara and give 2 2nds.
With that said, 2nd's are really hit or miss so you have to be certain you like Cook more than Kamara going forward.

Re: Kamara value
I'd need a 1st added to Dalvin to conisdered. 2 2nds don't remotely move the needle.
Dalvin showed some legit promise, but still tore his ACL. Meanwhile Alvin is showing potentially more ability and is healthy.

Re: Kamara value
More that 2 1sts is very excessive... We didn't get to see Cook for very long this year but in the few we did he was very productive in his own right. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the two are a near dead heat next season.
The trade as is looks very fair. I could understand someone wanting a 1st round pick instead of the two 2s, but more than that is too rich for me.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
Re: Kamara value
This is pretty close in my opinion. If Cook didn't get injured, we probably wouldn't be adding anything to him to get Kamara. Because of the injury, I think 2 seconds is reasonable and probably fair on both sides.
Re: Kamara value
More than 2x 1sts??? Thats overkill. I would trade Kamara away for Cook and a mid 1st. Other than that, I wouldnt move him. 2nds do nothing in this trade.

I'd say it's a decent offer but I'd take kamara side. He's in the perfext scheme for him. I would do cook and a 1st tho as well.
Re: Kamara value
Recency bias is so powerful, especially in fantasy football.
Dalvin Cook's first game as a rookie he went 22/127 catching 3/10. His next 3 games prior to injury he was 12/64, 27/97 1TD, 13/66 1TD including catches of 2/10, 5/72 and 1/8. He was involved in the passing game and looked really good in pass protection. We could all be talking about Dalvin Cook being on par with Kamara right now if not for injury. Kamara looks good, but don't pay too much and give away a player that could be equal or better, not to mention adding 2 2nds or a 1st as some are saying, if that is the price give me Cook and my picks.

Re: Kamara value
I hear recency biased used way too often when we talk about Kamara. After two months of super elite production when when does "results bias" take over? I mean if we are talking about Jamaal Williams or Kenyan Drake I feel you. Yes, we all want a larger sample size, but the NFL schedule has too few games per season for us to afford not taking shorter term results into factor.Weber27 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 11:51 am Recency bias is so powerful, especially in fantasy football.

Call me crazy, but I actually prefer a 14 games of results on Kamara over a handful of games and "what ifs" on Cook.
Re: Kamara value
I agree to an extent but based on much of the feedback here it's almost as though there are owners throwing Cook completely under the bus. If he produced in the handful of games he played like Mixon then maybe we can have some reservations but he was plenty productive in his own right and gave us no reason to doubt his future.Rasorin wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 12:06 pmI hear recency biased used way too often when we talk about Kamara. Re: Kamara value
Kamara in a ppr in my opinion is the better option. I made a trade early this year to get Kamara and picked him over cook (owner had both).
I think Kamara for the next 3-4 years is better than cook, if you can wait I'd see what NO does with Ingram... I think him being there actually helps Kamara and vice versa

Re: Kamara value
I find this thread very interesting. They're 2 spots different in the December DLF ADP and yet at the same time there's a common consensus that there's a 1st round pick difference in value.
Personally, I sold Kamara at the deadline. Packaged him, a late 1st (1.11-1.12) and a 4th for DJ. His current TD/touch rate is significantly higher than any other RB's career rate so I'm expecting some regression. He's scored a lot of TD's from outside the red zone and I'm not sure that's sustainable. If you're out this year I'd make the trade for Cook and the two 2nd's. By the end of the offseason when Cook is back to health I think their values will be equal.

Re: Kamara value
Just because Kamara is being rated higher (by most) than Cook hardly means he's being thrown under the bus. This isn't binary. From what I hear people are high on Cook. Cook's production was insane when he was playing. The factor with him is that the two back-up running backs have looked great in that system as well. Clearly Cook is the most talent of the trio, but that O-Line is creating nice running lanes for everyone.skip wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2017 1:23 pmI agree to an extent but based on much of the feedback here it's almost as though there are owners throwing Cook completely under the bus. Don't get me wrong, I'd take cook in a draft if available. But would take Kamara ahead of him
Might be able to try to do Cook + 1st for Kamara + 2nd or 3rd... I don't think its a full 1st in value difference
