Jamaal Williams vs Elijah McGuire

Postby designguy79 » Tue Nov 14, 2017 7:39 am

A penny for your thoughts, rest of this season and into the future.

I am leaning toward Williams based on overall efficiency of GB (once Aaron is back of course), but have not watched many GB or NYJ games this year.

Future - McGuire and it's not close.
Rest of this season - Williams and that is based solely on opportunity. Williams isn't even a top 2 back on that team when everyone is healthy.

surprised by results so far... do you think McGuire is the future in NYJ? I'm not so sure they don't bring in another RB next draft.

I own both, and they're probably just both depth RB's. I like McGuire's game more, but being in GB has the potentially to be a great situation.

McGuire has a great opportunity in front of him.

Aging Forte.
B. Powell meh.

Unless the Jets invest in a running back in the draft.

McGuire can run and catch.

Williams still has competition in
Ty Mont and A. Jones.

I haven't seen anything great about Williams.

I don't think either is the future for either team without injuries in front of them. McGuire wins by a smidge but the Jets are Forte-in out with Powell keeping the satellite position next season if they do keep him. But they are drafting a back and if they don't, somebody is in major trouble.
As far as GB goes, the job is split between Monty and Jones with Williams coming in now and then. Neither are buys though in my opinion.
But...if you can convince people to believe either one are the future of those teams, get what you can out of them. Of course hold Williams at the time being and watch his value increase a little as GB continues to feed the ball to an underperformed backup.

I think both will be career WW type.

Jamaal is a great situation but McGuire has shown more talent.
