Buy low on luck?

A guy in my league is looking for an immediate qb upgrade. He has luck and brisett. I have Stafford. I'm competing this year but my team isn't at full strength yet so would I be dumb to offer Stafford for luck and brisett?

Actually brisett has scored 4 points less than Stafford so it's not that big of a drop off technically

So I have an update. I traded Stafford, Jake Rudock (his handcuff) and dorsett for luck, brisett and moncrief. Thius is a 28 team league so wrs like dorsett and moncrief are still rostered lol

That's 4 points less PER GAME, which is a lot. That's the same as the difference between Devonta Freeman and Matt Forte. The same as the difference between AJG and Marvin Jones.

So yeah, if you think AJG to Marvin Jones or Devonta Freeman to Matt Forte aren't much of a dropoff, then I guess Brissett to Stafford is negligible as well.

I'm not saying don't do the deal, but "it's not that big of a dropoff technically" is way way off. 4ppg is a ton.

But Brisset has played more games as he hasn't had his bye yet. Stafford is scoring 16.5ppg to Brissett's 13.2ppg in my 4pt pass TD league, a difference of 3.2ppg. The difference jumps to 5.2ppg in 6pt pass TD leagues.

That's deceiving because Brisset didn't play all of week 1. I think only half or less (not sure exactly how long, but tolzein got the start). Not saying that the drop off isn't significant, but you have to take into account the average uses week 1 even though he didn't play much (only threw three passes). If you throw that week out, the last 7 games he's averaged exactly 15 ppg.

Again I think Stafford>Brisset, but don't throw stats out there unless you look at the whole situation, please.

Also to the original poster: I really like that trade for you. Dorsett is worthless, but moncreif has value.
