Moves to contend?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Moves to contend?

Postby BoltUp » Thu Oct 12, 2017 10:07 pm

I am currently 4-1 with the most points scored in the league. But with Zekes possible suspension, and a few other strong contender, I was wondering if you guys had any tips on roster moves for me (Team 1 in Sig).

Apart from the obvious, and saying grab Zeke's replacement in McFadden even if you already have morris, that committee could change by the week, and you never know who will get the hot hand. I would also think about moving Bradford and scraps for another RB, Duke Crowell maybe? because you are in a super flex, maybe Crowell's owner might be willing to sell.
QB: Carson Wentz, Mitchell Trubisky, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold
RB: Kareem Hunt, Christian McCaffrey, Duke Johnson, Isaiah Crowell, Rashaad Penny, James Conner, Sony Michel, Nyheim Hines, Jamal Williams
WR: Amari Cooper, Tyreek Hill, Jarvis Landry, Randall Cobb, Albert Wilson, Trequan Smith
TE: Trey Burton, OJ Howard, Austin Sefarian-Jenkings,
Def: Detroit and Los Angeles Rams
Kicker: Jake Elliot
2019: 2 1sts 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th
2020: 3z firsts, 2nd, 3rd, 4th,
2021: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
2022: 1 st, 2 seconds, 3rd, 4th

I say ride it out and just look for cheap fill-in options..

Zeke hasn't been the reason you're 4-1. And the Cowboys' upcoming stretch isn't a cakewalk (*don't overpay for DMC or Morris*), so no reason to think he'd suddenly become 2016 Zeke either..

Basically, I think you're fine.

I'd say stay put as well. Your team is still good enough to keep you competitive until Zeke returns.

I wouldn't be opposed to getting a matchup based RB for relatively cheap. Gore could be had for a 3rd or a flier. Would help you bolster your depth while not mortgaging your future
