Mularkey has said that he still views Murray as the starter, but he's just injured. But, it's hard to believe that if Henry gets a full load (if Murray misses time) and performs well, that he won't stick with the hot hand.
I'm kind of thinking those who really want to take a run at him, try to include him in some bigger deal .. not that you can really buy him cheap, but not an astronomical price that it could turn into ...

Mularky seems like he actually will go back to Murray after the injury honestly. I mean, wasn't it very early in camp this season he basically said that Murray will be the work horse? I don't even think he left the door cracked for Henry to take it over. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling a healthy Murray is handed back the reigns when healthy.

If that happens, that would possibly open the window to buy Henry again. He's to expensive right now to do so (more than likely).

I think if you love Henry you've got to wait 'till Murray comes back and has a solid game to make your offer. He'll be the guy someday, whether it's later this year or next year. Unless you really think he'll do well enough to take over if Murray is out a few weeks.

Pretty much.
I think this is one of those times where in fantasy we want the backup to be better than the starter but reality is they probably aren't.

its probably to late to buy "cheap" - right now you have to pay... if you believe he's gonna be a top5 guy for the next 5 years you should pay up anyway... and hopefully get him in a package trade

I was thinking of offering McCoy for Henry straight up (10 team ppr, start 2 RB + can flex 1 RB), so far 2017 isn't going my way.

Big overpay?

seems the henry owner to be a contender? If so, I would offer mccoy and another little piece for this years run and try to get henry and a 2nd... but Im relatively new to dynasty, so some seniors have to answer that question...

Not enough. Henry > McCoy for many owners. You'd likely have to do McCoy + 2nd for Henry to even have a shot.

I would strongly advise against this.

It's not a big overpay but it'll hurt you this year probably. For reference I moved McCoy for Mixon straight up and am thrilled with it long term. I think McCoy will kill it this year, until eventually getting injured and then by next season I believe he'll be 30. I don't think McCoy's value will ever be higher than it is right now and I would gladly give him up for Henry. If you're not a contender and he is this is a good trade for everyone, but don't be surprised if he asks for more. I know this is much higher than his market value but I personally value Henry at 3 high firsts. I just think his talent is incredible and that situation is amazing once Murray is out the picture. He's the easiest person in football right now to see going from seldom used backup to top 5 fantasy stud. If Murray is out of the picture next season Henry is no. 1 on my redraft board.
