Your luckiest Dynasty move ever

I wrote about this one in an article once, but it's worth re-mentioning.

Best: Gave Ka'deem Carey to a Forte-owning bears fan in week 2 of 2014... for OBJ. He was still injured at that time and had never played a down. I was pretty new to dynasty and didn't really know much about these guys; it was pure luck.

Worst: Later that season in the same league, I gave OBJ, ARob and Reed for Jimmy Graham. Jimmy was the unmatched TE1 stud then, but it was right before he went to Seattle and wrecked his knee. Jimmy may be back to life now, but that trade will never balance out.

My 2 luckiest would be...
1. Trading Cordarelle Patterson when all the hype was around him in 2014 for Gronk. And this was a return yard league so he was crazy overhyped

2. Trading AP before the preseason 2016 for Zeke Elliot.

These were both Dynasty.

I will find out soon enough I feel if trading Freeman for C.Davis and Mixon was worth it!

Before 2008 season, went into rebuild mode after winning back to back titles, traded LaDainian Tomlinson for Adrian Peterson, and 2 young WR who hadn't done much named Calvin Johnson and Greg Jennings.

Holy hell, did I get laughed at.

LT put up 1500 yards and

AP put up nearly 2000 yards from scrimmage in 2008
Johnson went 78-1331-12
Jennings - 80-1292-9 (starting in my flex all year)

Knocked the other guy out in the semis in week 15 but got beat in the title game. Went on the draft LeSean McCoy and Hakeem Nicks in 2009 and some guy named Antonio Brown in the 3rd round in 2010. Won 3 straight titles in 10-11-12, then 2 more straight in 15-16. Still have Antonio today and traded LeSean this offseason for a 17 and an 18 1st. Used the 17 1st on Kareem Hunt, who along with Tyreek and Brandin Cooks have staked me to an 81-13 lead over the defending runner up.

This is probably not my luckiest move ever (and it's not so much luck as it is playing with poor competition) but it just happened yesterday so I thought I would post it.

First year of a 14 team 2 QB dynasty league that also starts two kickers. I realize now that a league that starts 28 kickers makes them somewhat important, but I didn't pay attention at the time (because who cares about kickers?)

After the draft I had 3 kickers: Zuerlein, Franks, Parkey. Parkey got cut, so I dropped him to pick up the last remaining Defense. The next day the Dolphins claim Parkey and cut Franks. So now I only have one kicker. And of course there aren't any left. Bad luck.

The good luck part comes next. I sent out offers to everyone with 3 kickers asking what they wanted. One person countered with Jamaal Charles for Walsh, and I was actually considering this. But I decide to wait a bit and see what the others say.

I offered another guy a 3rd round pick and Darboh for Bullock. Today in my inbox is his counter: Josh McCown and Jamaal Charles for Randy Bullock and Drew Stanton. And Demaryius Thomas.

His story on the other end of this as his team is set to make a championship run this year is sure as hell lucky

Picked up Mike Wallace off free agency
Traded Hines Ward & Matt Shaub for Calvin Johnson
Grabbed Arian Foster when I saw he was called off practice squad

Finished 2nd that year... went into 2010
Traded Ryan Matthews and Vincent Jackson for Lesean McCoy and Larry Fitzgerald at draft having acquired the 1st overall in my rebuilding year

Won back to back championships.
